I do not like this idea. I find it more important to easily follow someone then to have the little problem of seeing that a spam bot is following me..
Plus the API story is a big issue so I don't see this happening anyway soon.

See who stopped following you
You get a e-mail when you're getting followed but it's hard to find out who stopped following you. Would be very nice to know !

Option to center the background image
I'd like to have an option to center out the background image, so you can create a nice background and you know how it's gonna be shown independent of the other users resolution. The new Youtube channel style also has this now.
