Arlette shared an idea in Pivotal Labs on May 17, 2008 03:41:
Notification when story is accepted; "tell me when this story is accepted" would be cool, too.I would love it if I could get an e-mail when a story's accepted. The rejection e-mail is helpful, but it'd rock if Tracker would ping me when someone's signed off on a story after I've finished it.
And as to pie-in-the-sky ideas, I know a bunch of people here would love it if there were an "e-mail me when this story is accepted" button on every story, so you could have Tracker update you on stories that aren't your own.
Arlette replied on January 21, 2008 00:24 to the idea "I would like current and backlog columns merged into one" in Pivotal Labs:
Wow. I'd hate that. I can't imagine not being able to sort in-progress vs. upcoming stuff.
But the confusion could be a nomenclature issue. "Backlog" doesn't always make sense to people when you first start out -- it sounds a lot like "icebox," as in "things that will never get done." A "backlog" to most people is a stack of things you're trying to get around to that're behind schedule.
People started liking the backlog a lot better when we started calling it a "queue" -- we all understand that though you may wait awhile in line, eventually your turn always comes up. It's reassuring.
