A comment on the idea "Textile/Markdown markup" in PBwiki:
This info appears to no longer be valid. I see no 1.0 option and the newfaq link is currently broken.
I too am suffering with WYSIWYG and the amount of mouse clicking it requires to create page links. – asalant, on April 15, 2009 06:03-

A comment on the problem "Modifier Key Bug - MacBook Pro (Late 2008)" in Apple:
This worked for me. Note that you have to have the external keyboard plugged in to get the menu that lets you select the keyboard to configure.
There is a bug here. It appears to be that if you switch the modifier keys for an external keyboard then unplug the keyboard, the modifier key configuration continues to apply to that keyboard and not the built in laptop keyboard. – asalant, on February 28, 2009 03:45

A comment on the idea "How about custom point values" in Pivotal Labs:
+1 for epics.
Someone suggested an idea that I liked: an epic is a story with arbitrary size (pt value) that can't be started.
This would be great for high level planning but prevent you from cheating the system by skipping detailed estimating. – asalant, on November 11, 2008 00:05

asalant marked one of Edd Dumbill's replies in Expectnation as useful. Edd Dumbill replied to the question "Can I save and reedit a proposal before submission?".
asalant asked a question in Expectnation on October 08, 2008 00:41:
Can I save and reedit a proposal before submission?I am submitting a proposal for O'Reilly's Web 2.0 Expo and am a bit confused about the submission form. I see the the site is powered by Expectnation but see no online help so am asking here.
First I enter proposal information and then add speakers. Can I save my proposal and come back to edit it without submitting it?
There is some speaker information that I would like to be able to get (like URL to a photo) but don't have right now. It looks like I'm going to have to abandon this proposal including all the information I have entered and come back to create it again when I have that info. Is that correct?
A comment on the question "What's the easiest way to sync the iPhone with Google Calendar?" in Apple:
CalDAV mostly worked for me. I can add an event in my desktop iCal to one of my Google Calendars with no problem.
However when I add an event on the iPhone iCal, I can't add it to one of my Google Calendars. So when I sync with the iPhone, the event shows up in my iCal calendar and does not sync up to Google. – asalant, on September 05, 2008 23:03

asalant replied on March 03, 2008 21:31 to the problem "Inviting user fails with "Email is in use already."" in Pivotal Labs:
That seems strange. The email address is what Tracker is using for uniqueness. Why should I need to get the name exactly right?
Also, I don't know exactly with what name the user was added or with what initials. I could be Alon Salant (AS) or Alon J Salant (AJS). Someone adding me to their project has no way to know. They will know my email address though.

I believe it has been a known bug for a while. I just got around to adding it here. I have this email from Mark from Jan 25:

Alon,
You are not missing anything, this is a known issue that we need to address. It was introduced as part of "self serve" work that was being done to allow anyone to sign up for Tracker. It was meant to keep malicious users from fishing for valid emails. Since self serve has been put on hold, we need to consider relaxing the requirements of inputting the exact name and initials for an email of an existing user.
In the meantime, if send us the user's email and the project we can manually add them to the project for you.

asalant reported a problem in Pivotal Labs on March 03, 2008 18:22:
Inviting user fails with "Email is in use already."I'm trying to add a member to a new project that is already a Tracker
user but we don't actually share any projects yet.
When I try to add him, Tracker tells me "This looks like a new person.
Please provide a few more details:"
When I provide the details, Tracker errors with "Email is in use already."
No kidding. He's already a user. We just don't share any projects. I
thought that Tracker handled this correctly in the past - it would
treat him as a new user from my perspective but actually recognize the
existing account behind the scenes.
