A comment on the idea "How about custom point values" in Pivotal Labs:
+1 for epics.
Someone suggested an idea that I liked: an epic is a story with arbitrary size (pt value) that can't be started.
This would be great for high level planning but prevent you from cheating the system by skipping detailed estimating. – asalant, on November 11, 2008 00:05

You don't have to abandon what you've entered. You can submit the proposal, and any time until the CFP closes, you can carry on editing it to your heart's content. You'll can do this from the "Proposals" tab at https://en.oreilly.com/webexsf2009/us...
asalant asked a question in Expectnation on October 08, 2008 00:41:
Can I save and reedit a proposal before submission?I am submitting a proposal for O'Reilly's Web 2.0 Expo and am a bit confused about the submission form. I see the the site is powered by Expectnation but see no online help so am asking here.
First I enter proposal information and then add speakers. Can I save my proposal and come back to edit it without submitting it?
There is some speaker information that I would like to be able to get (like URL to a photo) but don't have right now. It looks like I'm going to have to abandon this proposal including all the information I have entered and come back to create it again when I have that info. Is that correct?

Add another NuevaSync fan to the list! I am not a techie person and I was able to, in under 10 minutes, set up my NuevaSync account, configure it and voila! My contacts and calendar are now on my Iphone AND I can interact with them! Yippee!!! See my happy dance? I am sooo excited! So easy, so on target and FREE...Yes!

Not only do I sync with Google Calendar through NuevaSync I also sync my contacts with Gmail now. Awesome recommendation. Thank you Peter. – Pierre, on September 23, 2008 01:36

I agree with Martijn. I just got the new iPhone 3G and syncing w/NuevaSync is by far the easiest and best way. The only problem (if I can call it a problem) is that when it syncs down to the phone, NuevaSync doesn't put them in separate calendars so everything is in the same color and when you add an event on the phone, it defaults to your primary calendar on Google. Not a huge deal for me, just means I have to go to Google to update to the right calendar. If you add this to using CalDAV with iCal, I can create an event online at Google, on my iPhone, or on my iMac, and within seconds (yes, seconds) I have the event visible in all three places!
I also sync my contacts through NuevaSync and it has been just as successful as my calendars.

Nuevasync is by far the best. Sync your Google calendar and contacts Over The Air by using the free NuevaSync. Sign up for an account and follow their instructions. And I have some more tips.

CalDAV mostly worked for me. I can add an event in my desktop iCal to one of my Google Calendars with no problem.
However when I add an event on the iPhone iCal, I can't add it to one of my Google Calendars. So when I sync with the iPhone, the event shows up in my iCal calendar and does not sync up to Google. – asalant, on September 05, 2008 23:03

Alon,
This functionality currently works as intended and it mostly is related to privacy concerns. If you are not sharing any projects with a given user already, you will need to get their exact name and initials in order to add them.
We'll try to make this process more intuitive. Thanks for the feedback!
asalant replied on March 03, 2008 21:31 to the problem "Inviting user fails with "Email is in use already."" in Pivotal Labs:
That seems strange. The email address is what Tracker is using for uniqueness. Why should I need to get the name exactly right?
Also, I don't know exactly with what name the user was added or with what initials. I could be Alon Salant (AS) or Alon J Salant (AJS). Someone adding me to their project has no way to know. They will know my email address though.
