Hi Ashley,
The behavior of the calendar will differ slightly between browser (e.g. Internet Explorer, or Firefox) and operating system (Mac, Windows). Also depending on the size of the browser, we may display things slightly differently.
Specifically, as you resize your browser smaller, we will minimize and control things in a way that hopefully is appropriate for the user experience.
Do you have an example of the issue you are having / can you provide a URL? I'd be happy to take a look (you can send to support@spongecell.com).
Ashley asked a question in Spongecell on June 10, 2008 18:30:
Why wont all my events display in my calendar? Why aren't all my events showing up for a certain day in my calendar? For example, for June 22 I have three events I want to display for visitors to my site. Currently on my computer I can only see the first event, and I have to click on the "..." symbol on the bottom of the day to see all three. BUT, on two of my coworkers computers their format will let them see all three events right in the June 22 box. The whole "..." feature has been removed.
How can I stream line this so all my visitors see the same feature with all events listed?

Ahhhhhhhh I see. I was just worried about creating a new calendar, posting the new html code into my website and then loosing all the hard work I had put into entering all 51 of my events for the first calendar.
OK, another question (I have many sorry...) so then each time I want to change my widget, say change "Upcoming Events" to say "Mountaineers Books Events" I change it in Spongecell, and then repaste the code on my site, deleting the old code. When I do this though, I WONT loose all my events right? In repasting my code I am simply changing that one line and keeping all my events the same?
Thanks so much for all your help!

Hi Ashley,
Nope, an event won't appear in another calendar unless you specifically associate it to that calendar. By default, events will be added to your primary calendar (named Upcoming Events, unless you change it).
Lets say you create another calendar - 'party events.' When you create an event from the 'Upcoming Events' calendar, it will only belong to that calendar, unless, in the form field, you also check the box next to 'party calendar as well.'
Make sense?

Wait, but if I have events that upload to my list widget, if I click "create calendar" wont that just plug in all my previous entries into the new widget? I am trying to have the list widget with separate events and then the calendar with completely different events. – Ashley, on June 05, 2008 18:59

Hi Ashley,
Question 1: Is it possible to have two email addresses associated with the same Spongecell account?
Answer: No - that's not possible and I think we won't change that.
Question 2: How to make two widgets show different events?
Answer:
You have to create a different 'calendar' ...
So - on the 'events' tab, click 'Create a new calendar' and create another calendar with a different name then 'Upcoming Events.'
Then, create your two widgets - create one to show all of the events in the calendar 'Upcoming events', and another, to show all of the events in the 2nd calendar you made.
Does that help?
Thanks,
Kevin

Hi Ashley,
Yes, you can add both the calendar and event list view widget to your page. There are indeed two different widget codes to add, so just copy and paste each one in separately and you should be fine.
The important concept to understand is that widgets are calendar specific. You can create different calendars, and therefore different widgets to include on your website. Also, you can have any number of widgets that feed from your calendar. So in your instance, if you have one main calendar and create a list widget and calendar widget (and add to your site), each widget will display the same event information.
Hope that helps and let us know if you have any other questions.

How do I keep my events in two separate widgets? Can a person have an events scrolling widget on their site and then bellow that have a separate calendar widget? Do I just plug in my two different html codes?
How will Spongecell keep the two modules with different events separate? My account is resisted under my work email, so do I need to register a new email for the second widget? The events I uploaded currently need to be in the calendar, and then I have others I want to place in the scroll widget. I'm confused on how to keep each from mushing together.

Why can't I see all my events in my widget?I created an events listing widget, but it only displays about 15 of my events (I entered 51 total). Can I alter something to include all 51 in my scroll?
