Mahesh Asolkar asked a question in Mozilla on September 18, 2008 23:51:
Firefox 3.0.2 freezes on print (RHEL5)I am running Firefox 3.0.1 on RHEL5. It freezes every time I use the print command (File -> Print...). This happens 100% of the time. How do I get some debug information about this freeze so that I can open a bug?
A comment on the question "GOOGLE maps in firefox 3" in Mozilla:
I am pretty sure it's got to do with the 'Enable Javascript' option. I disabled it in my profile and I see exactly the behavior reported by the original poster. – Mahesh Asolkar, on August 07, 2008 05:11
Mahesh Asolkar replied on July 25, 2008 23:06 to the problem "Weave works in some instances, doesn't in some" in Mozilla:
Thanks to the pointer to Weave forum. The following thread seems to have helped my situation:
Weave 0.2.5 again problems with passphrase
What it suggests is that in about:config, find the extensions.weave.username preference name. If it has value nobody change it to your username.
The next time I started Firefox, it did not display the Weave setup window. I clicked on the Weave icon on the status bar and clicked on Sign In. It accepted my credentials and started syncing.
Hope this helps.

Weave works in some instances, doesn't in someI've installed weave on 5 different Firefox installations between work and home. It works great on RHEL5 at work, Ubuntu Hardy and Mac OS X (Tiger) at home. It won't work on Ubuntu Intrepid at home and Windows XP at work! Where it doesn't work, it says 'Invalid passphrase' at setup. Is there a limit on how many instances of weave I can run? All Firefox installations are up-to-date to 3.0.1. Weave 0.2.5.

A comment on the problem "firefox - there is a cursor on each web page that ruins scrolling. any help?" in Mozilla:
You probably turned on 'Caret Browsing' by mistake. F7 key toggles the Caret Browsing mode ON/OFF. It is an accessibility feature documented at http://www.mozilla.org/access/features. – Mahesh Asolkar, on July 16, 2008 19:23

Looks like there are some technical issues bothering medibuntu. If interested, there's a Launchpad bug about this:

A comment on the question "Lighter theme for Songbird nightly?" in Songbird:
Like I said, I tried a bunch of them. But looks like something changed in the nightlies, the menu items appear to close, as if it were a single word - camelCased (somewhat like... FileEditVewTools).
Is gonzo still in its initial stages? I see a lot of pink lines on menus. Pink monochromatic icons instead of colored icons, etc.
Well, I am using a nightly build. I'll be patient and see how it develops. Who knows I may start liking darker feathers! – Mahesh Asolkar, on July 11, 2008 17:52
Mahesh Asolkar replied on July 11, 2008 06:53 to the problem "Google's Firefox Browser Sync and Firefox 3" in Mozilla:
I love weave too. I think it has more potential than Browser Sync had. But there are a lot of people I know who still love and miss Browser Sync.
Now that Google has made Browser Sync open source, some developer + Browser Sync fan can make it to work with Firefox 3.
Mahesh Asolkar asked a question in Songbird on July 11, 2008 06:40:
Lighter theme for Songbird nightly?I am not used to dark themes. This black theme on the nightly build is killing my eyes. Can anyone suggest a lighter theme for Songbird nightly? I tried a few (iTunes, KMSM3 etc), but I think they are not ready for the nightly builds - menu items appear all squished up.
