cool, thank you :) not sure if "copying tags" is a good idea, since we all use different tags probably - or not ALL the same. a little "x" to delete the other members' tags might be hepful... (to me at least) .... screenshots are not (yet) copied , right? – assbach, on June 23, 2008 14:04

see http://getsatisfaction.com/mento/topi...
... just fixed the Copy & Send to dialogs. They will now use the original user's Mento page as the "via" when you copy a link to your stream. It's not the best solution yet (the label will eventually say "via dotdean" instead of just "via mento.info"), but it's a first step in a better direction ;)

Fixed those ugly dialogs! "Copy" & "Send to" are now updated and use the regular Mento Box.
Both options also save the "via" information to point to the original user (in a basic form for now, by using www.mento.info/other-user/perma-link as the via).
Copying a link will also copy the tags, which you can edit before saving.
Enjoy!

A greasemonkey or local stylesheet will probably do the trick until there's some support for custom templates (yes, it's in planning)
The script/stylesheet would need to hide the following:
.Note = css class for your comment field
.Image = css class for the image
.RightInfo = css class for the reply/plus count on the right
.InlineFeedback = css class for the pluses/replies that your friends have added
Let me try some Javascripting...
You could use:
document.getElementsByClassName('Note').map(Element.hide);
via Greasemonkey or a bookmarklet to hide the "Note" fields, for example. Note to self: this is kind of neat....
Let me know if that helps!

The 'no notification' thing has apparently been done and is called 'muting' according to the team blog: http://blog.plurk.com/2008/06/11/i-mute-you/ – Thomas, on June 11, 2008 01:17

Sadly the idea of checking page 2 of all 3 pages (at only 5 posts per page) was just WAY TOO HARD for some people, so there's another thread that was made 4 days after the last post in here. See it for more.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I created a simple applescript folder action that will upload any screenshots put into it to your ScrnShots account. Full tutorial at http://www.gregbelldesign.com/scrnshots/scrnshots-applescript-upload-folder-action/ Works really well to drag screenshots from Skitch into your ScrnShots account. – Greg Bell, on June 05, 2008 14:44

Definitely - an API would be awesome. According to the Unofficial Guide to Plurk (http://plurk.ryanlim.com/help/index.php?id=42), it's on the way, but I'm not sure how accurate this is. – Cam, on June 05, 2008 01:24

@assbach - "uploading without being asked for details" => i wrote a very quick applescript that takes care of this. I plan on posting a short screencast on my blog later today that shows you how to set up a folder action that uploads screenshots in the background. Also, I've used it to drag file directly from Skitch into my ScrnShots account. As for private screenshots, we plan to be release that functionality with our next big release (probably about 3 - 4 weeks away). – Greg Bell, on June 04, 2008 21:14

i agree with Eric, skitch integration would be awesome! i have some other questions / suggestions. - is there a keyboard shortcut for making a screenshot? - uploading without being asked for details (easy process if you're making a lot of screenshots for your work and want to keep/share them (secretly) with colleagues) uploading is been done in the background. grabup does that. i.e. - private screenshots / password protected screenshots – assbach, on June 04, 2008 20:48
