This is caused by a Firefox bug: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug...
It affects not only Foxmarks, but also the built-in bookmarks import/export feature as well as Weave. Please vote for the bug so it will get fixed.

Just wanted to add to my own problem report:

Digg sez:

Sorry - Only the characters a-z, A-Z and 0-9 are allowed in passwords
Sorry - Password needs to be between 4 and 15 characters long.

Digg, please fix this!

Please fix the Digg password policy.
Digg only allows characters a-z, A-Z and 0-9 for passwords. I would like to set a stronger password with special characters. Just about every other site can do this. Please enhance Digg's password policy to allow special characters to be used.
