Does Qik on iPhone not work over Tmobile?

I have an iPhone and qik appears to work ok over wifi but not at all on tmobile. Is that a known issue? Did I just not have a good enough signal? It did say it was on edge. I'm confused....

I'm on qik's website, I find someone I want to follow but I see no way to actually follow them?????

I've setup twitter but I'm on the iphone and have no keys to hit '55' as it says you must do to notify twitter. What now?
