Comcast emailed me from another thread about pixelation. After a few email exchanges, a couple of phone calls to set up an appointment, a Comcast Tech came out to my apartment. He changed the cable box, replaced the splitter and even programmed a new remote so I don't have to use two remotes: one for the cable box and one for the TV controls. I'm so happy I can just dance.

I wish I found this forum weeks ago. I though it was my TV. Then I borrowed another TV to test and the pixelation and dropped signal happened with the newer borrowed TV. I checked the cables, unplugged and plugged the cable box. Nothing solved the problem. It's inconsistent as well. Sometimes I can get 15 minutes of no pixelation and dropped signal and other times it's ok for hours. That makes me think that what's been suggested on this forum is Comcast is trying to send too many signals on one line. I live in a 13 floor tower, with a dozen apartments on each floor. We cannot get any TV reception without cable, so we're captive audiences. Now we're captive audiences with interrupted cable signals.

Comcast Cable TV signal pixelated then signal dropped!I live in San Francisco. I've had problems with Comcast TV cable reception. The picture breaks up and gets pixelated and then the signal is dropped. I tested different TVs, checked the cables, unplugged and plugged it in again. Sometimes I get 15 minutes without signal degredation and sometimes an hour. Is it because Comcast is trying to push too many signals through the lines?-
