Great, and to make sure Brightkite is acurate you could schedule events that then have to be confirmed - like "Berlin Airport 12:00". At that time, a confirmation request pops up, and you can say whether you're late or on time.

I just had another idea. What about syncing Brightkite Placemarks with Google MyMaps?

There's a Google MyMaps Editor for Android already, but it's made by Google themselves so I don't know how open that is, but that would be awesomecool!

Android App with GPS-sense of nearest placemarks and locations
Specific Android OS app that uses GPS (precise to 6m with HTC G1 cell phones!) which then allows selection of the closest places. Then, synchronize with Google Maps / Latitude!
