Jason,
1. I unchecked SBAMTray.exe from the startup.
2. I changed the SBAMSvc to "Manual"

When I run CounterSpy it changes the SBAMSvc back to Automatic and the process actually start running, which is what causing my computer for additional 5 minutes of boot time. I know that SBAMSvc does matter as it is asking for internet access from my firewall so it must be consuming time and trying to process something.

I did, but whenever I run CounterSpy it changes the service back to "Automatic"

The SBAMSvc service, keep on reverting to "Automatic" after running CounterSpy on demand.

Any ideas?

Thank you, it does address the issue of on demand. If I disabled the SBAMTray.exe and switched the SBAMSvc service to "Manual", what should I do with the handlers and dll (ie. sbamscanshellext.dll) if anything?

Thank you. I have disabled the SBAMTray.exe, but it is not the issue, the issue is the service SBAMSvc. If I disable the service I can not run CounterSpy on Demand.
Any idea?

Slow startup boot.

I have Norton Internet Security and CounterSpy 3, Active Protection is disabled, but counter spy does add 5 whole minutes to startup (boot). Any idea how to disable counterspy at startup? I just want to run it on demand
