AzimuthDragon replied on November 18, 2008 03:38 to the question "Where I can ask for beta invitation to BumpTop ???" in BumpTop:
You can get it by signing up for the private beta at www.bumptop.com. You're placed in a list, and it's a first-come first-serve as they need more people basis, I believe. So patience is the best way to get an invite. =)

AzimuthDragon replied on November 18, 2008 03:35 to the problem "Problem coming out of Sleep mode" in BumpTop:
I have this problem with Bumptop now and then too, I believe that they are working towards fixing, but my issue was with Hibernate not Sleep, that's probably what's messing with it on your computer. Be sure to send them a feedback e-mail, too! Screenshots of your computer specs and of Bumptop its it's messed-up state help a lot, too.-

AzimuthDragon replied on November 18, 2008 03:33 to the problem "Microsoft Remote Desktop does not work well with BumpTop" in BumpTop:
I certainly haven't seen this, but I bet BumpTop was designed to be viewed on a local computer in tandem with the graphics chip/driver working to the same goal. Remote Desktop is an integral part of Windows, so I bet it messes with drivers and starts working -against- Bumptop rather than with it to display the icons, and then when it switches back Bumptop gets confuddled and dies. Using LogMeIn or a similar service works for me, just lags because of the movement and delay in the remote viewing since it's just a stream of rapid pictures being taken of your desktop.
AzimuthDragon replied on November 18, 2008 03:30 to the problem "Switching items when they're fanned out doesn't work very well." in BumpTop:
From what I see, it's a simple two-way feature at the moment, it goes through the pile based on the order, as if it was in a straight line, not a curvy line drawn by the user. It does need to be intuitive, but the program sees it as a straight linear array of icons, not a curvy path you draw, and based on if you draw the path to the left or the right, it may seem to go inversely or randomly. It does it to me too, it needs to be worked on, but I don't think its a great priority, I like flipping through the stacks better. ^.=.^

Ecko now on Get Satisfaction!Hey all! Now that Ecko is on Get Satisfaction, I can make a lot of progress managing the tester list and get the feedback of all you testers out there that have made Ecko what it is so far. I'm waiting on a friend to reply to an e-mail about an alpha list manager, until then the alpha list won't be up, but feel free to say hello and get involved! I'll post another update when the alpha list is up and running again. =)

It would be nice, but I doubt the Team would put time into that. What I think would be best (This idea is appealing, btw) is for the Team to work on stability, core features, etc. and then create an extension API for others to code things (Such as this) into the program, this way the Team isn't using their time and money to develop 'conveniences'..? Although I still think that Bumptop needs Crumple. <.=.<
Good idea though, I would like to see someone add this!-

AzimuthDragon replied on November 09, 2008 22:46 to the problem "Excessive Virtual Memory Usage." in BumpTop:
Perhaps you have some graphics settings in Bumptop or you graphics drivers are causing a memory leak... Either way, I've never had this problem, and when I've accidently frozen bumptop by opening it in folders with a ton of images, usually just killing the process and restarting the program clear the memory.-
