Mark Seymour started following the idea "Gravatar Support?" in Twitter.
Mark Seymour shared an idea in Twitter on September 19, 2009 18:04:
An Idea: Custom Positioning for Profile Backgrounds (top center, bottom right, etc.)How about letting users position their background the way that they want?
For instance, I have a background that looks like there are ribbons going around the content. I could center the background at the top, and make it look as I described it.
Another scenario: I want a fade effect at the bottom of the viewport for the background. I could position it at the bottom and perhaps even tile it horizontally.
An example where this could be used well would be @adamplitt's Twitter (http://twitter.com/adamplitt) (via Smashing Magazine.)

I would like to change my username to one that has been registered.I would like to change my username to one that has been registered.
However, the one that I wish to have (mseymour) has not been used since December 2007.
I remember reading that Twitter was going to release accounts that were 9 months old or more, however this account is about 17 months old. I've sent a support request to username@twitter.com, but the ticket was closed once it was received.

I get random texts from Twitter a few days after removing my mobile phone number from the service. The first text that I received was "Welcome to Twitter. Please confirm by replying with your name. Standard message charges apply, 'stop' to quit or 'help' for help."
This was received at 5:24 PM, March 30, 2009. I did not reply back.
The second one (split into two parts) was:
"1/2: Hi, Back, taking a break from the computer for a while. :P! Have friends send 'follow Backtakingabreakfromthecomputerforawhilep' to"
"2/2: this # for your updates. 'help' for more. What are you doing?"
This was recieved at 2:44 AM, March 31, 2009.
I removed my phone from my account about a day or so prior.-

I noticed that any tweets that I've sent via sms since possibly 12:00am this morning have not been received by twitter. I am able to send and recieve messages (by send an sms to my email address.)-

Sock-puppet-like twitter spam accounts appeared within the last several hoursgilberte24, joeannyxsz, caterinamx, fernoyprre, valenciakb appear to be spam accounts. They only have one tweet each, and they are in a very similar format. Something like what a virus might send through Messenger. For instance, from gilberte24's only tweet: "What's up! Check me out! I loaded alot more vids [url snipped]"-

How can I find out when I first created my account, or my first tweet?I am curious as to when I first created my account, since Twitter doesn't report it at all in the interface. I tried older, but that is still broken.
