we're really sorry this bug took so long to fix, and affected so many of you. We've been hard at work for the past several days trying to track it down, and as of about 7:30 PM PST, we fixed a major issue with our internal messaging servers, and it looks like the problem is solved.

We'll be clearing caches pro-actively to make sure you have the most accurate view possible.

Unfortunately, this is expected behaviour --- in order for replies to be recorded as replies (to prevent spam), the people posting need to be following you before posting their replies.

You can "track wii" on your phone or IM, and you'll receive all the messages going forward (as long as your phone is enabled or IM is online), or you can use Terraminds as a backup.

Try sending "track" alone from your phone. It will return a list of all the things you're tracking - like ibroadfo says, if you're tracking the same thing twice, you'll get two messages.

I've filed a bug - we're working on some things that will make this easier, but it will probably be a little bit before we fix it. In the meantime, just make sure you're not tracking the same thing twice.

Fixed. We're having some service hiccups, and are hard at work fixing them. We'll be keeping a close eye on the service throughout the day until all the underlying issues are resolved.

You need to have either your phone or IM enabled for Track to work. We won't send track messages if it's only enabled for direct messages.

Hi there,

there's a known bug that we *say* you can track words like "the", "and", and other common words, but we don't actually let you track those words ;-)

We do this because tracking common words would match on every other Twitter, and doesn't fulfill the goal of Track, which is to give you more information about the topics that you care about.

We're working on a fix so that we reply with an accurate list of words that you're tracking, and a web interface to help you manage your tracked words. This feature is definitely in beta, and your feedback is very important to us!
