Isaac, thanks for the reply. However, you didn't answer my question. Here it is again
If I shut off Quoter, then I'll have these silly [quote] tags all over the place which it uses to create portions of previous comments in quotation markes.
Any idea who I can make the switch without any headaches?
that is, without having to go back and one by one erase all these vestigial square bracket quote tags once used by quoter.
hope that's clear

Quoter plugin and Intense Debate Conflicts?I'm using Quoter plugin but want to start using Intense Debate. If I shut off Quoter, then I'll have these silly [quote] tags all over the place which it uses to create portions of previous comments in quotation markes.
Any idea who I can make the switch without any headaches? can I leave quoter on to work with intense debate? I don't think that's a good idea myself. here is the website for quoter:

I'm excited to begin using intense debate but am apprehensive so I'd appreciate some expert advice on this. Thank you!
Babak replied on September 21, 2008 17:59 to the idea "Incremental backups?" in Wuala:
francisco, yes I think everyone can agree with that. that's just common sense.
re backup where you said:
"I think anyone that just wants backup, should get a backup service."
have you ever visited wua.la ? as in the site?
if you go there you will find that wua.la describes themselves on the mainpage as follows:
"Securely store and back up your files online and access them from anywhere."
what does that sound like to you? a backup service? quite possibly!
but the Q is, what is a backup service that is done halfway? well... it won't be profitable, it won't be reliable nor dependable, because it will be a cobbled Frankenstein monster.
what many people above are saying is just common sense... if wua.la is a backup service... make it one! don't make it partway.
cheers

francisco, thanks for the detailed message and for not taking the wrong way ;-)
I hear what you're saying, my point is that wuala's storage is primarily used for backup, so why not make it easier for the majority that use it as backup by adding vital features like incremental backup?
you can't compare wuala with S3, they are vastly different offerings, yes S3 is storage and yes, it can be used with a client like jungle as a backup, but wuala already has a client and a GUI, and a lot of other differences which make it a whole different animal... so the analogy or comparison is a non sequitur.
if wuala is listening the voice of their userbase is loud and clear, we use wuala as backup and would like an easier way to manage that process.
why should wuala's users get a separate solution and cobble it together to make something that wuala can easily offer seamlessly?
when you buy your shoes do you buy your laces from a lace superstore? and the sole from a sole-mart and the box from a box store? no, you go to a shoe store and walk out with the complete solution.

why be so passive about a vital feature? I really like wuala but dropbox gets it, I don't want them eating your lunch!

Babak asked a question in PressFlip on September 12, 2008 02:16:
way too many duplicatesfor a single keyword(s) it is returning way too many results which are exact dupes, same article, same link, same site, etc.
WTF?
Babak asked a question in Wuala on September 11, 2008 01:43:
default to "my files"when I open wuala or login, I'd like it to default to My Files, not My Friends, not My Groups, not World and not the green star thingy.... My Files.
I'm not interested in what the rest of the world has in terms of files. I use wuala for backup of my own files. So please allow me to focus on my files.
thanks

remove duplicate linkstwo or more keywords can yield the same result - please check the link so that it isn't a duplicate, if it is, remove it from the list.
Babak asked a question in drop.io on September 05, 2008 16:26:
sharing files with othersI have a premium drop 1GB with dropio and have set it to private by password protecting it. This is because I have clients who upload files for me and I don't want them to see other people's files.
But is there a way for me to show them just their files? I know I can upload to a new drop but that has a 100 MB limit. Is there a way I can use my own account, which has a larger capacity for them to see *just* their file(s)?
thanks
