If you have added your mobile number to your Facebook profile, you can also login by typing your phone number (no spaces, no dashes, etc.) anywhere it asks for your email address. Since my phone number is faster to type than my email address, this is how I always login. I'm not sure if this will solve your problem, but it's worth a shot.

Only set up my Facebook account last night and it's already f*cked up!

I've got the same problem in that it says my e-mail isn't registered etc. etc.

I'm sixteen years-old and I suspect that the problem is down to the fact that I didn't register for a school network, but my school wasn't actually on there to register for! Can anyone confirm that this is the cause of the problem???

Anyway I've e-mailed them (login@facebook.com) and hopefully they'll sort it out soon ...

ugh! having the same problem!! started 4 days ago, it just says my email is unregistered but i still recieve notificaitons...i emailed fb immediately but nothing so far....and my profile still exists....so annoying!! i'm having withdrawal symptoms!!

I'm having excatly the same problem as all of you guys, it started happening a few days ago and i've emailed facebook about my problem..but still no reply. In desperation i set up a new account because i thought my old one had been deleted, however when i went to search friends i found my old account and it was still registered. Im encribly frustrated as i have very important emails that i need to read and respond to :( ...and im scared i've violated the terms of facebook by accident.....i feel like crying

Go to help, troubleshooter, login and password and click on "I receive a password incorrect error message, even though I know the password is correct." When it asks you to click "here" to update your password just under that, click it. It seems bizarre that it should want to change your password but it worked for me

I have just started having the same problems, I am from the U.K. and the problems started last night (I have had my account for over a year though)
