You are running Safari on a WIn OS? Huh - I think I have missed something. Thought Safari is Mac only. ;) – bagelcat, on October 19, 2009 11:02

Hi Andreas,
you ́re running on OSX 10.6. ? If this is true, please download the client from http://wuala.com/en/download and install it. There ́s a bug wich sometimes start the 64-bit java engine instead of the 32-bit engine when starting with the web browser button.
If this doesn ́t help, there will be definitely something wrong with your java installation. Please reinstall the last java update from apple.com in this case.

A comment on the problem "Uploading many large files causes variety of issues" in Wuala:
ok. So, not the files itselfs are big (>10,20GB per file) but the overall number of files. I have a backup with round 300.000 files, taking aroung 20GB space. This have been created without problems. Hmmm. It will be surely a helpful thing when you send in the error reports (stack traces), when Wuala crashes. If the upload "hang" without crash, push ctrl-alt-x to "kill" Wuala and create an error messageto send or ctrl-alt-d and the option "create exeption"... Or did the upload going on without problems and it is just the counter wich is not correct eg. show an other point after a restart of Wuala? – bagelcat, on October 16, 2009 19:18

A comment on the problem "Windows 7 Beta and filesystem integration?" in Wuala:
@newRaven: The devs have set a date when Wuala will support Win 7 a few months ago. I think they ́ll care about it, but they have seen that they need alot of time to solve that issue. And they have announced it. Whats the problem? – bagelcat, on October 16, 2009 19:00

This was marked "not a problem" 9 month ago. I think it was ok at this time. One of the problem of GetSatisfaction is, that nobody can close a thread for writing on.. There are several thread opened for the same issue during the rtm time wich are still open. They might have been a better place to talk about this issue in the last months than this one. – bagelcat, on October 16, 2009 18:52
A comment on the question "Support direct P2P syncing with out uploading?" in Wuala:
this is caused from the encrypting system of Wuala. All files will be encrypted on you local computer before they are uploaded. I this way, no one - not even Wuala itself - have access to your files without your permission. So, a file had to be stored locally for encryption before it is uploaded. – bagelcat, on October 16, 2009 03:53
bagelcat replied on October 16, 2009 03:48 to the problem "NFS Server Not Starting" in Wuala:
You need to have nfs-common installed. Additionally, sto nfs-kernel-server if running. See http://getsatisfaction.com/wuala/topi.... Wuala needs the "usual" nfs-server to start the nfs. It doesn ́t work with the nfs-kernel-server.
