Das ist seltsam. Wenn eine Überprüfung der Verbindung keine Fehler zeigt, würde ich mal das Speicher tauschen ausschalten, ein paar Minuten warten, Wuala evtl. neu starten und das Speicher tauschen wieder einschalten.

Delete the file inside Wuala, stop Wuala, delete the folder Local Cache in the Data directory and the temp directory (just restart the computer or look here http://www.wuala.com/en/support/faq/c...). Restart and reupload the file. If the error retain, write a mail to support@wuala.com.

I can load all these files without problems inside wuala gui and with firefox. Every now and then, it took an astonishing amount of time till files that have been shared are really accessble.

I don ́t think this is a real bug but rather some functions are not implemented for nogui use right now.

Maybe some function would never be used without a gui, but are needed for some transactions to be accessible via commandline.

The base construct of Wuala impede an incremental upload technique. All uploads are encrypted on you local system before they are send to Wuala. Therfore, You ́ll have a complete other file after editing and re-encrypting than the encrypted files was before you have edit it.

I see no other way than send unencrypted files to Wuala when you want a incremental upload after an edit. And... I like Wuala most for exactly that point, that no one, even caleido itself, can see my files. Best security I can imagine. ;)

You have deleted a local folder wich Wuala tried to backup in that moment? Usually, You ́l should get an error in Wuala and thats all. But, yes, could be a possible point for the problem..

There`s something going wrong. When you create a backup, you ́ll see the backfolder at once in the wuala-gui. And the status of the upload.

?? Wieso? Deine Frage war, ob eine ganze Datei oder nur Teile davon auf Deinen Rechner geladen werden. Wuala zerstückelt Dateien in einhundert Fragmente und verteilt diese in der Cloud. Das war die Antwort. ;)

Klar können diese Fragmente bei großen Dateien auch groß sein. Die Anzahl ist halt fix. Du uppst was Du kannst - aber das ganze ist p2p. Du uppst also AFAIK nicht unbedingt ein komplettes Fragment. Diese werden ja mehrmals verteilt und auch die Wuala Server haben eine komplette Kopie aller Fragmente. Alle zusammen helfen mit. Ein Fragment ist für das p2p-system quasi eine Datei und noch mal gehashed.. portionsweise übertragbar.

Falls ich mich irre, behaupte ich hiermit das Gegenteil.

Es verändert die Dateigröße - muss deswegen nicht unbedingt größer werden. ;) Wenn die Header/Metas getrennt von der reinen Musik wären, müsste nur dieser part neu hochgeladen werden. So die gesamte Datei, wenn man z. Bsp. das Genre ändert. Das ist schon richtig.

Moin knub,

einfach den gesamten Wuala-Datenordner sichern und wieder einspielen, _nachdem_ Wuala auf dem neuen System zum ersten Mal gestartet wurde.

Ich finde das übrigens zwischenzeitlich nicht mehr so wichtig. Der erworbene Speicher vom alten Rechner sinkt langsam, wenn der nicht mehr online geht. Aber der "Neuerwerb" von Speicher durch den neuen Rechner, wenn Du Wuala einfach neu installierst und mit 17% anfängst zu sharen, gleicht das gut aus.

I would say, yes. Once a backup is set, it should also run in nogui mode. But I have not tried it yet.

But usually Wuala will use the same setting in nogui mode and gui mode - except the autologin feature.
