There are technical and legal barriers that prevent us from offering that feature right now. It's the most commonly requested feature, so we are looking for ways to get you what are looking for, or close thereto.

Yes. Also, going back and deleting the old account with the 's in my username was the help in re-starting my twinkle account. The confirm delete emails had a few strange letters instead of the  so I replaced them. with the symbols and deleted that profile.

I've blocked most of the weirdos on there now, and it's a lot nicer with the darker keyboard. I just left it as letters for my username now and can update avatars. I also made some avatar images smaller, which helped as well.

I agree with danielvv, Tapulous are doing what they can, Apple have the power to hold or release applications (this was something speculated on a while back before the 2.0 firmware; apple would have too much control over releasing applications).

This application is Free, and has been pretty good for me, sure there were a few glitches at the very start, but Tapulous have been on it and have tried to minimise these glitches.

Just wanted to mention also, I do not measure an application on the amount of updates a piece of software has, I measure it on how useful the program is, and with Twinkle is has the edge over the competition in a couple of ways.

and as has been pointed out v1.2 is out there which further increases it's functionality.

at the end of the day, this is a free application being developed for free and not costing yourself directly for it's production - I'm sure if you wanted to speed up production Tapulous would gladly take donations/pay check from yourself to update their software. – Zol., on October 10, 2008 07:07

Sorry, Robert, but this is out of our control at this point. Hopefully Twinkle 1.2 will be live very soon now.

Twittelator just came out with it's 4th update in the last 3 months. The LONE author of Twittelator keeps adding new and very cool features with every update. Meanwhile the STAFF of Tapulous can't even get one single update out of Twinkle.

With a bit of trial and error, I discovered that you can unblock people by finding a tweet that is @whomever you want to unblock and tap their username to get to their profile. Then you press Block then Unblock and that seems to do the trick for now. – Stalfos, on October 09, 2008 22:18

Try to find someone with multiple postings, then block them, and you should see the nearby list shows everything it showed before, minus the blocked user, but nothing additional as a result of clearing out the blocked user's postings. So if someoone accounts for every posting except two and I blocked them, I would then be left with two postings until more new ones come in. I would like to be able to see the postings the blocked user pushed off the nearby list.
