The thread on Brightkite's board (they don't use Get Satisfaction anymore) is:

If more people there let them know this is a problem, maybe they're try harder to actually fix it! – bauserdotcom, on November 06, 2009 17:11

Ping not posting to BrightkiteNone of my updates are being posted to Brightkite. Compare my Twitter & Brightkite feeds:
http://twitter.com/bauserdotcom and http://brightkite.com/people/bauserdo...
Everything posted to Twitter via Ping should be crossposted to Brightkite, but hasn't been for the past several days. (I send location updates directly to Brightkite, so those aren't affected.)
Given Brightkite's general dumbassery since their upgrade, I have no way to tell if the problem is with Ping or Brightkite.
All of my "lost" updates were sent to Ping via SMS.

Add support for FoursquareYou should add Foursquare.com to the supported services. Their check-in syntax is similiar to Brightkite's.
A comment on the problem "t-mobile not supported?" in foursquare:
Going to do anything about T-Mobile To Go blocking Foursquare? Telling users to call T-Mobile is useless. T-Mobile lied to customers left and right when they were blocking Twitter:

A comment on the problem "Goodbye. I am ditching this service 4ever." in foursquare:
Considering this is a discussion of the prepaid T-Mobile plans, yours is an incredibly useless response. – bauserdotcom, on October 20, 2009 02:23

T-Mobile To Go (T-Mobile's prepaid service) is notoriously touchy about SMS shortcodes. Apparently, they default to blocking shortcodes until somebody convinces them the shortcode isn't spammy. (Twitter was blocked until last year; Facebook was blocked until THIS year.)
Somebody at Foursquare probably needs to contact T-Mobile about lifting the block. – bauserdotcom, on October 18, 2009 06:35-

A comment on the idea "Custom alias for locations" in Brightkite:
That wouldn't very well for me. Most of my placemarks are two- or three-letter abbreviations that would make damn little sense to other people. I use placemarks so that I DON'T have to type in long names. – bauserdotcom, on July 26, 2009 14:58
A comment on the question "is there a way to add past trips?" in Dopplr:
Do you have any e-mail confirmations for those trips? I added 3 years of trips to Dopplr by forwarding all the old confirmation messages I had saved in my mailbox. – bauserdotcom, on June 14, 2009 23:16

Not receiving SMS from Brightkite, but Brightkite's receiving SMS from meI haven't been able to receive SMS from Brightkite all day (June 13). I don't get responses to check-ins or commands like "help". (All my updates today got assigned to the wrong location because I couldn't tell if check-ins succeeded!)
On the other hand, Brightkite appears to be receiving my SMS messages fine.
My phone service provider is T-Mobile To Go (prepaid plan). I know they've got a history of blocking shortcodes that annoy them, but I've never known them to let me send to a code that couldn't send to me.
My last SMS check-in before today was 06/09/09, so technically, the problem could have started before today and I just didn't notice.
An SMS gateway issue, maybe?

thechexan, have you tried ping.fm? It will do almost exactly what you want.
(I'm using Ping to juggle my Brightkite and Twitter accounts -- if I want an update to appear on both services, I send it through Ping, but if I want the update to only appear on one service, I send it directly to that service.)-
