Hi.
Do you mean the case of using "Detect Available" wizard?
It really has stransge behavior. It detects transports and apply settings automatically. So there is no prompt to save changes.
I'll fix it in the release version of 1.7.

Thank you for the feedback I believe resolving your issue would also help other bbtran users.

First of all, you see those squares becasuse Asian fonts do not work with your device anymore.
This can be caused by BB OS update for example.
Could you please send me details of your BB OS? (you can use "Send Feedback" screen in BBTran to send a feedback. OS version would be included in that letter automatically)

Did you do any BB update last time? And what's the firmware you're using on your device? Some users install custom builds, you know.

Any details would help me.

PS: do all languages (thai, chinees, Hebrew..) show squares or only some of them?

Hi Tom,

in a short - Yes.

BBTran is able to translate both words and phrases using EN<->SP in both directions. Moreover it provides several services to do that translation: Google, SYSTRAN, FreeTranslation, Reference.com.

Dictionary mode will provide more results and alternatives for a specific word, where Text mode is used to translate phrases or large text block.
