A comment on the question "29 hours and counting with no feedback..." in HavingThingsDone:
I got a response! I have to say, I'm really impressed with the work. I definitely feel like I could use the service regularly for research tasks which didn't require urgent attention. – kiwitobes, on September 13, 2008 17:38

That would kind of be cheating wouldn't it? I'm excited about the service and am trying to see if it's appropriate for important tasks. I want to be able to submit a task and know that it will happen (or at least be notified if there will be a delay) without having to complain in a public forum :)
I'm really interested in personal outsourcing, but my experience with GetFriday was lackluster.

29 hours and counting with no feedback...I bought 60 minutes and submitted a task, giving it 30 minutes, which I thought was a reasonable amount of time.
The status simply says "In Progress". I haven't heard anything. I don't think I could use a service for anything important if I have no idea when it will be completed, nor do I even really know if it's been assigned to anyone.

Sound no longer works on my Apple TVI have my Apple TV connected to my Yamaha receiver through the optical port. It was working fine until yesterday, when the audio suddenly stopped working. I've checked the connections, and I don't remember changing any settings.
The display on my receiver still indicates that I have a digital audio connection, but there is no sound.
I also tried my DVD player to confirm that it wasn't the receiver, and the audio on that works fine.

Just wanted to say thanks! This is a fantastic way to ask questions to companies that traditionally don't do anything about customer service, particularly the faster growing internet companies like Google or Facebook.
We had an issue that we thought was with Google had been frustrating us for months, which we posted and got a response almost immediately:

There are a lot of experts on the way these companies work who don't necessarily work inside but pay close attention to everything that's written.
