A new thread would be best. If we can get some community support (beyond the 3-4 people who've already been doing that sort of thing), perhaps they will consider some cooperative effort.

Yah. Thanks. I'm already using the grab source hack but the reference to the existing thread is appreciated so I don't duplicate it. I agree about the 3rd party developers need. How to help facilitate that? Separate thread needed?

I agree with you 100%; I'm just parroting the excuses they normally give to questions like this. While you're waiting on an official reply, you might try this thread. It's a hack, sure, but that's how we get things done at PBwiki.

Sure, but Unscrupulous Spammers already have a tool in so far as they can subscribe any email they like and notifications are set On by default. The current set-up doesn't prevent unscr. spam, it just closes an essential option for legit admins. Without scripting an email collector to search the member page for emails (way too much trouble and ethically dubious to boot), which ways of accomplishing this goal do you have in mind?

Unscrupulous spammers can create dummy wikis for the explicit purpose of sending out mass emails using PBwiki as the sender, so it's not that easy to make this feature foolproof. There are ways of accomplishing this goal, if you're interested. As a rule, though, PBwiki does not give any guidance on when (or even if) a given feature will become available.
