Importing Loopt Journal into Google MapsI was a Brightkite/Google Latitude user until your latest update on iPhone. One thing I liked to do with those two services was place a Google Map embed on my blog showing my last ‘checked-in’ location. This was easy using Brightkite and Latitude’s KML feed, limiting the feed to the last update by adding a ?max=1 or ?n=1 or something similar to the end of the feed, and importing into Google Maps.
However, I cannot seem to figure out any possible way to do this with Loopt. I have gotten your journal feed to import into Google Maps, but no matter what I do, it always shows the last 20 or so locations I’ve been to, sorted alphabetically. I know you guys have an embed “widget”, but the flash and size of it is just too much for me to want to place it on my blog.
Do you guys have any recommendations on how I could filter your Journal feed to only show my last update location?
Thanks a ton!

Push notifications not working?I can't seem to get push notifications working on the newest iPhone version. I've enabled them in the app as well as in the Notifications section of the iPhone, but still nothing. Any ideas?

Embed QuestionsIs it possible to embed a map from a Brightkite/Loopt RSS post into feed widget? For example, I have my last checkin location from Brightkite or Loopt show up on my blog using the Friendfeed feed widget. (see: http://beanj007.squarespace.com).
However, I would like to actually display the map that's visible when you go to my Friendfeed in the Brightkite entry. I know the "Real-time" embed shows the map, but it doesn't appear you can CSS theme the real-time widget at the moment.
Any idea if this is possible?

Filter Journal RSS to last location?I’ve seen that if you type your Loopt Journal Feed into the Google Maps search bar, it shows your last 10 checkins on the map. Is it possible to just show the last one checkin? (i.e., is there a ?= that can be added to the end of the Journal Feed RSS that filters it to the last checkin?)

lifestream: There was an error processing your requestWell, now the feed started updating for a couple hours, but now it says: "lifestream: There was an error processing your request" when I log in. Ideas?

Completely stopped updating for me?As of 4:00PM EST Saturday, Socialthing completely stopped updating all feeds for me. I've signed out, back in, different PCs, removed and re-added Twitter/Facebook, etc... nothing. Just sits there, no updates. Any ideas?

Pingle has some 'issues'. I beta'd it, and downloaded it day 1. The problems are mostly with uploading of pictures, however... it's a great app for text updates, but picture posting is practically broken.
I recommend using Tweetie, which is a Twitter client, but allows you to post with your default Ping.fm settings as well.

I think it's time for an update, guys...Socialthing has gone dark for 4 1/2 months since the AOL purchase, and I've still been using the service daily. I know you guys are in the midst of fully revamping, and you guys are still leaps and bounds above Tweetdeck/Twhirl/Friendfeed in my opinion, but can we at least get a blog post or something? At least confirmation someone is working on this awesome new site? :)
Thanks!

Shorten links with bit.ly or other services? How about offering the ability to shorten links with bit.ly or other services? The tracking/stats that bit.ly offers is really handy. Thoughts?

I actually moved from Pingle to Tweetie because of this issue.
Pingle seems to just have image issues all-around. But, especially if you try to attach full-sized 1600x1200 pics. 75% of the time I try to attach a picture in Pingle, it either tries to attach forever, or just posts the message with no picture link. This is kind of an app-breaking issue for me. I've emailed support and Robert directly with this issue, and gotten no response.
Please fix?-

Twitpic picture hosting? How about giving support for Twitpic for picture hosting? I like my friends to be able to immediately see it's a pic I'm linking rather than a website, and some are complaining they are having trouble viewing pics hosted on ping.fm...

Twitter location not updating...When I check the box for "When I check in at a place, set my Twitter location accordingly (NEW)." in my Twitter sharing options, Brightkite isn't updating my location on Twitter when I check in or post. However, notes or photos go through just fine to Twitter. I've tried unchecking all the boxes and saving, and then re-entering my Twitter information and saving, doesn't work. I've also tried manually changing my Twitter location, which works fine, and then checking in again, no luck.
I'm in public mode, but my privacy for private mode still has "Exact" set across the board, including for "Everyone else". Any ideas why this may be happening? It used to work a few weeks ago.

Not shorten links that start with...How about having the ability to turn off link shortening for links that begin with or contain "XYZ". For example, not shorten already short links, like twitpic.com, bit.ly, tinyurl, bkite.com etc? I have began using Tweetie and using the ping.fm integration, and when I post a pic on there, it posts to Twitter with the twitpic.com link, but everything else with a ping.fm link.
This messes up social consolidators like Socialthing, since it sees these as different posts. Also, I'd like my Facebook friends to see the link is a twitpic and not a URL to a website or something. Just an idea.
