Beau D. Simensen shared an idea in I want Sandy on November 21, 2008 23:56:
Can we get the widget data in JSON and/or XML format?I understand the API is maybe a ways out yet, but would we be able to get the widget content in a format we can use to play with our own mini apps? It seems to have everything I really need... today's calendar events and the current TODO list ( including things that are past due ).

http://iwantsandy.com/home.xml
The widget now is nice for Google Calendar, but it would be nice to have the option to build a tighter one for iPhone and/or Gmail. Even to have something that does an auto refresh. :) So that I can put it up on a monitor that is always available and will update if I add new todos or mark some as done.
I need Sandy in my face if we're going to continue to work together. And right now, it isn't super easy to keep her in mind.

How does it work with Sandy once changes/bug fixes are put into place? Is there a blog or status update showing when fixes are pushed to live? I'm curious because I wonder how I would be able to know if/when a fix to this problem is pushed out into the wild. :)
I found this ( http://getsatisfaction.com/iwantsandy... ) but I'm not convinced this is the best source of information as it doesn't look to be updated very frequently.-

Beau D. Simensen asked a question in I want Sandy on October 10, 2008 23:11:
Looks like Twitter IM not coming back soon... Sandy API to let us create our own Sandybots? :)Just saw this post from Twitter.
http://status.twitter.com/post/539787...
I've been waiting and watching Twitter status for the last few weeks hoping that something would magically change despite the fact that this problem was apparently three months old already.
I guess I'm happy that my wait is over. Sort of. Now a new wait! Sandy API? :) Someone to build a Sandybot for googletalk? Or maybe a standalone Sandybot that we can each install on our own if we want to?-

Could you try to reproduce this problem for me? Disable all default reminders...
- http://iwantsandy.com/settings/email [Email Reminders: No]
- http://iwantsandy.com/settings/mobile [Mobile Reminders: No]
- http://iwantsandy.com/settings/twitter [Twitter Reminders: No]
Then add these:
Remind me with an email alert in 30 minutes @todo @sms
Remind me with an SMS alert in 30 minutes @todo @sms
Remind me with both email and SMS alert in 30 minutes @todo @sms @email
Remind me with Twitter in 30 minutes @todo @twitter
Remind me with Twitter and SMS in 30 minutes @todo @sms @twitter
Remind me with Twitter and email in 30 minutes @todo @email @twitter
My results? No reminder is set at all for anything. How about you?
I'm guessing that you have at least one default reminder set ( either email or SMS, possibly twitter ) and that the system doesn't kick in any reminders unless at least one default reminder is specified.
If this is indeed the case, I'd consider it a bug as I don't want to have to subscribe to default reminders just so I can have the option to choose how to get reminders.
If this is "as expected" (I'd love to discuss this with someone and have them convince me that this is indeed the case :)), then I'd try to raise this as a feature request. Opting into reminders is far less frequent to me than having to opt out on nearly every event I ask Sandy to remember.
Thanks for the response, Yeraze.

Any updates here? Am I crazy? Is nobody else having this problem? I've sent two emails to help@iwantsandy.com as well with no response. (originally sent on 9/24/2008)
