Any update on this? I looked into this around 4 months ago and got the same reply;

"Due to high ticket volume, Twitter Support is no longer releasing inactive user names unless in cases of trademark or copyright violation. We are working on releasing all inactive user names in the future, however, we will no longer manually release them on an individual basis. We ceased doing username changes in January of this year.

iPod touch support missing

There is no support for the iPod touch (first or second generation), only the iPhone. This is an artificial limitation, as there is no reason an iPod touch cannot receive the notifications. Please rectify this, as I didn't realise until after I had purchased the application.

Hi there - I'm loving the Flickr integration when posting photos; it might just end up becoming the only method I use to upload photos from my iPhone - so easy!
Only thing that's stopping me is the fact that BrightKite eats the metadata on the way to Flickr :( It keeps the location/geolocation metadata, but more cool stuff, like date/time taken, and the camera model (iPhone) disappears! could you possibly fix this sometime soon? :)
