Hi David,
Maybe I'm missing something here then, because we haven't changed anything on our end, so if it's fixed now, it's not something we did.
Here's what I see on your site: http://img.skitch.com/20091103-fb57k6...
I'm using Firefox on a Mac. Is that what you would expect to see? If not, and you're seeing something different, could you perhaps send me a screenshot and let me know what browser you're using so that I know what's going on?
Also, tables will almost always expand to fit any containing element (eg an image) which is too large to fit inside them if it has a specified/known width. The width setting on a table applies more to wrapping text than anything else.
Cheers,
Beau

Beau Lebens replied on November 01, 2009 03:32 to the question "How can I get a unique comments code for each page of my site?" in IntenseDebate:
Hi there - normally, your pages are identified by their unique URL, or if you're using something like WordPress to manage your website, then it has a specific, unique identifier used internally to reference each post/page. If you're doing this manually, then you can also allocate a unique number to each post to help with this process and make sure that pages are always identified correctly. The default generic codes should look something like this:

Beau Lebens replied on October 31, 2009 22:35 to the question "Can I turn comments into posts and give credit to the commenter?" in IntenseDebate:
Hi Rhonda,
This would be up to your blogging/website system, and is a bit out of the scope of IntenseDebate.
If you're using WordPress then you could create a new user in your system for the commenter, and then give them the "Contributor" role, so they can only work on their own posts. Then you could just copy-paste their comment into a post and assign them as an author.
That's the only way I can think of immediately to do what you're hoping to do :)
Hope that helps,
Beau
Beau Lebens replied on October 31, 2009 22:25 to the question "Google Wave Integration?" in IntenseDebate:
Hi Benjamin,
While this is definitely not possible right now, we're looking at enabling Google Connect at some point to allow people to log in to IntenseDebate using a Google Account. I don't know if we'll work towards being completely real-time like Google Wave though, as that has some very difficult issues relating to moderation in particular :)
Thanks for your feedback!
Beau Lebens replied on October 31, 2009 22:20 to the question "IntenseDebate making webpages VERY VERY wide" in IntenseDebate:
Hi David,
IntenseDebate is designed to automatically resize itself to the containing area where it's inserted. In your case, it looks like the banner ad at the bottom of the page is actually making your page wider, and so IntenseDebate just fills the space already created. If you turn off JavaScript in your browser you can see that even without IntenseDebate, it still loads out to be that wide.
If you'd like ID to load just in the middle column then you probably want to put it in the end of the center TD (within the HTML). That would mean putting the JavaScript embed code right after the bit that reads [hopefully this HTML will come through correctly]:
<h1>ReportMill</h1>
A tool for generating web pages and reports
dynamically
from Java applications.
<!-- InstanceEndEditable -->
There is a [/td] tag right after the InstanceEndEditable comment which you'd need to insert the JS for ID immediately before.
Hope that helps,
Beau

Hi @Alexandr3 -- I noticed that you are also getting this error right down the bottom of your page: "We're having issues locating the IntenseDebate account for this blog. Please email our support team for assistance."
Can you please try resetting the plugin (click the button under Settings > IntenseDebate, in your WordPress Admin). That should hopefully reconnect your account to our system, and then load up the comments section properly.
Cheers,
Beau

Beau Lebens replied on October 31, 2009 21:16 to the problem "Must login to ID to manage comments" in IntenseDebate:
Firefox does/can disable third party cookies actually, the option is Preferences > Privacy > Accept cookies from sites (check) > Accept third party cookies (check).
It might also be worth clearing your cookies completely and then restarting Firefox and trying this again. It's possible that you have a corrupted/partial cookie of some sort I guess. To try this, open Tools > Clear Recent History...
Then select "Everything" in the top box, and uncheck everything except "Cookies" in the list. Click "Clear Now" and it will remove all of the cookies in your browser (which means you'll need to log into anything that uses cookies next time you use it).
Hopefully that will clear anything strange that's going on.
Beau Lebens replied on October 31, 2009 21:10 to the question "Comments not syncing back into WordPress blog" in IntenseDebate:
Everyone -- we had a slow down with our syncing process, so a load of comments that need to be synced back got "stuck" in our queue. They're not gone, they're just waiting patiently in a sync queue so that we can get them back over to your blogs.
We're still trying to make sure that this doesn't happen again, and in the meantime we've switched over to a clean sync queue to keep new comments coming in syncing over normally. There are a chunk of comments that are still waiting to sync, which we're slowly syncing back out, but it's taking a while because there are a bunch of them, and we don't want to overwhelm any individual blog, or have the queue lock up again by trying to process it too quickly.
If you can please keep an eye on your sites, and if you're still missing comments a few days from now, let us know by emailing support@intensedebate.com with the URL to your site and ideally a few links to specific posts where you know comments are missing from so that we can make sure they get synced fully.
Thanks for your patience, and I'm really sorry about this inconvenience.
Beau

Elena -- with IntenseDebate deactivated/removed, do you see the comments showing up in your WordPress admin section? Do you think you'd be able to send me a screenshot just so I can see what you're seeing?
I looked at the source of your pages and they don't appear to be outputting comments at all, although it is showing a comment count, so something's out of sync obviously.
Also - did you previously have comments displaying on this theme correctly (before you used IntenseDebate)? Just want to confirm that it's not a problem in the theme where it's not showing comments for some reason.
Thanks,
Beau
