Temperature item change colorsI like to show my temperature in the menu bar, and I had an idea: What if the text changed color to represent the “danger level” of the temp? I’m not sure if that could be hard-coded in or alterable by the user, but it would be neat. It’s by no means a priority, but something to consider.-

beiju reported a problem in atebits on May 23, 2009 18:08:
Sidebar doesn't appearSometimes when I launch Tweetie, the sidebar doesn't appear—that part just stays gray like a normal window, and clicking where the buttons should be has no effect.
beiju replied on May 23, 2009 16:17 to the problem "Getting an ad in paid version (Mac)" in atebits:
In the Advanced preference pane, there's a checkbox to disable ads. If you click it in an unregistered copy, it tells you you have to buy Tweetie, but I assume if you click it with your license installed it will take effect. I would think the registering process unchecked that, but it seems it doesn't. This seems like a small thing that would generate a whole lot of unnecessary support questions just because the app isn't intuitive.

Allow background drawing on a Space-specific basis.I use four Spaces, for writing, communications, a place to shove stuff with long progress bars, and everything else. I'd like to have the former three Spaces set to static pictures with opaque menubars, and have my primary Space still rotate from my Flagged iPhoto pictures. If you could either implement random desktop images or Space-specific background drawing.
In the meantime I'll just use background colors, which don't require the image drawing to be on.

What's the deal with plugins?I have the MacHeist version of EventBox, and I'm not sure if that's the reason but I have an Instapaper plugin in my preferences. I can see myself using this a lot if (when) del.icio.us and/or newsgator integration comes and I start using EventBox for my RSS reader.

Spacebar goes chronologically through postsJust like in NetNewsWire and Mail.app, I'd like the spacebar to move through updates in the order they were posted. The only difference (the way I keep the others arranged) is that EventBox lists the newest item at the top. In a move that may be intuitive in a way, but is counterintuitive to me, the spacebar goes backwards. If you could add a preference for this, you could avoid confusing users while still allowing the functionality.

Allow Twitter searches/peeks to show in UnreadI keep a search in my sidebar to see what's going on around that topic, so it would be nice to be able to see them in the HUD along with all my other items, instead of having to go looking for them. I would assume Peeks are the same, however I only use them as a surrogate for Conversation support until you presumably add that down the line.-

It's not an OS specific issue, as it happens on OS X too. Thanks for pointing this out. – beiju, on March 12, 2009 22:36

A comment on the idea "Make the menubar icon default to the Space Switcher" in The CocoaBots:
Thanks! Just to clarify, my idea was to switch the behaviors, so right-clicking would give you the current normal-click menu and vice versa. – beiju, on December 21, 2008 03:40
