Bekah Wilson replied on November 25, 2009 13:15 to the question "i need to find manual for the onkyo tx-sr600" in Vann's:
Bradley,
Good news! Onkyo has a copy of the owner's manual for this model available for download on their website. Go to www.onkyousa.com and type TX-SR600 into the search bar. On the results page, there will be a PDF version of the owner's manual. You can also call Onkyo at 201-785-2600 and they can help you as well.
Thanks,

Bekah Wilson replied on November 24, 2009 01:08 to the question "What happened to all the Pioneer plasmas on Vanns?" in Vann's:
BC,
That's a good question! Most manufacturer's will continue making parts for their products for 7-10 years after they stop making them, in order to ensure that they can fulfill their obligations under warranty. In addition, if it was a 5 year warranty through Vann's, those do cover replacement in the unlikely event they are unable to service the unit. If the warranty was through another company, just take a look at your policy, a majority of them are "replacment" warranties, so they will replace with a model that has similar features to the TV that you currently have, even if is not by the same manufacturer.
Hope that helps!
Thanks,
Bekah

BC,
Unfortunately Pioneer has gotten out of the plasma making business, so since they are not manufacturing them anymore, we don't have them to sell. The good news is that Panasonic has come out with some fantastic plasmas this year, and they are filling the void nicely!
Let us know if there are any other questions that we can answer for you.

Julie,
I am guessing you are inquiring about the Sony KDL-22L5000? Unfortunately we do not currently have an estimated delivery date on that TV from the manufacturer. My best guess would be 4-6 weeks, but that would just be a guess. If you are interested in that television, you can always sign up to be notified when we receive stock on our webpage.

Bekah Wilson replied on November 14, 2009 15:49 to the question "automatic volume compensation" in Vann's:
Jim,
We actually have several receiver's in that price range that will have the volume control feature, which one will be right for you will depend on what other features you need for your system. A good starting point would be to look at the Onkyo HTRC180, which a 7.2 channel receiver that has THX Loudness Plus. Here is a link to the product page:

You could also check out the Denon AVR2310CI, which utilizes Audyssey Dynamic Volume technology to achieve the same effect:

If you would like some more suggestions, or help narrowing down the receiver that is right for you, please give us a call at 1-800-769-5668.

Bekah Wilson replied on November 11, 2009 00:48 to the question "usb cable for samsung digital camera" in Vann's:
Mr. Jauregui,
Thanks for the question and the interest! While we do not carry a cable specifically for a Samsung digital camera, we do have a Monster USB cable that would be compatible with any component that utilizes a mini-USB plug (which most camera's do). Here is a link to the product page:

Hope this answers your question and let us know if there is anything else we can help you with.

Bekah Wilson replied on November 06, 2009 19:52 to the question "What are items needed to hook up Yahama YHT391bl reciever" in Vann's:
Great question! What you will need to hook up the system does depend somewhat on what extra components you will be adding (blu-ray player, dvd player etc.). That being said, here is what you will need for basic installation:
Included in the box will be the speaker cable, and sub woofer cable needed, however these are not the highest quality cable, so we always recommend upgrading to a higher quality.
Not included in the box would be the HDMI cables to hook up your HD components, depending on what you are planning to hook up you will need up to 3 HDMI cables. With any home theater system, we also recommend hooking your system up to a good power center (surge protector and line conditioner in one).
If you would like some more detailed help on the set up of this system, or some advice on some upgraded speaker wire or a good power center, please give us a call at 1-800-769-5668.

Bekah Wilson replied on November 03, 2009 13:41 to the question "Aaaah-so many sound systems to pick from!" in Vann's:
Julie,
Thanks for the questions, and they are all good ones! There are definitely a ton of options out there for home theater, and it can be a challenge picking which one would be the best for you. I am guessing you are looking at the Onkyo HT-S6200 system? If so, it is a good option for the price point, and allows for flexible installation because of the Audyssey 2EQ room-equalization technology and included microphone to assist with set up. This technology basically helps you optimize the speaker's performance for your room.
The best wireless solution that we have that is compatible with most solutions is the KEF 'Wireless Speaker Connector System'. This system is a sending unit that is connected to the A/V receiver, and the two wireless receivers for each of the two speakers it will handle.
Here is a link to the product page:

However this option can be a pricey addition to the system, depending on the initial budget.
It sounds like you are still in the initial shopping phase, so I would highly recommend giving one of our Product Specialists a call at 1-800-769-5668 and talking with them about what you want out of your home theater system, they would be able to help you pick the system that will be the best solution for you.
Thanks!

Bekah Wilson replied on October 26, 2009 23:07 to the question "pioneer vs. panasonic" in Vann's:
Bob,
The Pioneer does not come with a separate connection box as far as I know. I checked Pioneer's site, and downloaded the owner's manual for the KRP-500 and it did not list a separate connection box, and the pictures indicated the connections were on the back of the unit. I would recommend checking with Pioneer to be completely sure, it is possible that they article was referring to different model number.
Thanks!

No problem! Yes, the financing promotions should show up on the check out page, however sometimes the 12 month has not been showing up. If you have any problems, please give one of our Product Specialists a call at 1-800-769-5668 and they can make sure that the correct promotion is applied.

Bekah Wilson replied on October 24, 2009 19:29 to the question "pioneer vs. panasonic" in Vann's:
Bob,
All good questions! As far as the refresh rate: all TV's are inherently 60Hz, however plasma TV's all utilize a 600Hz subfield, so both the Panasonic and the Pioneer are the same in that regards.
Contrast ratio is not always the best method for comparing televisions across brand, as there is no industry for how to rate contrast ratio. So Pioneer may measure theirs one way, and Panasonic a completely different way- and both may realistically have the same visible contrast ratio.
Ultimately, as both Kevin and Shannon have said, both TV's are great options. If the extra features of the Panasonic are not something that you absolutely need, or want, Pioneer definitely has a reputation as an industry best. Have you seen both of these units on a show floor? If not, I would highly recommend taking a look, especially if you are on the fence about which one you think will be best for you. Having a visual can really help!
If you would like to further discuss which option would be best for you, please give one of our Product Specialists a call at 1-800-769-5668, they can help you make that determination.
Thanks!

Jeremy,
Thank you for the interest in our company! I am not aware of any upcoming promotions for the Panasonic TV's alone. However, we do have a 12 months no interest with minimum monthly payments promotion available on all purchases over $299.99. If you are interested in taking advantage of any of our financing promotions, please see the link below:

Bekah Wilson replied on August 19, 2009 01:59 to the question "Panasonic V10 Price Hike?" in Vann's:
Thanks for the question! Looking at this TV it does look like we had a manufacturer's rebate on that unit that ended a few days ago when we ran out of stock. We don't currently have them in stock, so the rebate would not apply right now. Once we have them in stock, the price may go back down. If you have any further questions about pricing, please give one of our reps a call at 1-800-769-5668 and they would happy to help you!
