Bengo replied on December 22, 2008 05:47 to the question "Why do I get a "Publishing is temporarily unavailable" message when attempting to publish my site?" in Yola:
Take it from a person with long experience in business -- anyone whose loyalty is that thin is likely not someone you want as a customer anyway. You'll spend all your time dealing with tantrums and threats.
That said, are you adding server capacity? It's easy for me to tell you how to budget, but it seems essential to have emergency reserve capacity, perhaps through a third party as well as your own infrastructure.
Also, if users try to reduce publishing to, say, once at end of work session, will that help during this situation?

Since asking, you have posted on your blog that you will arrange forwarding from all older Synthasite subdomains to any domain purchased from you. Since you did not offer domain purchases when I bought my main domains, this excludes me from that option. Please add to the question above: can I switch my domain registrar to Synthasite? I currently use GoDaddy. What fees need to be calculated? I have three sites that are in this position.
I want to "second" the idea of moving "look at my site" requests" to a distinct area if possible.

Progress toward merging subdomains? Just wondering.Did Synthasite's arrangement allowing you to market domain names change the status of those of us who have a Synthasite subdomain and a domain purchased prior to that?
I would love to get out of the tangle of having 6 URLs for three sites, especially since lately I see what looks like cross contamination in the Google Analytics. I would rather give my domain fees to Synthasite than a third party anyway. Feel free to answer during a quiet moment when no one has pressing issues. I realize I am posting at the start of a weekend -- it can wait until the next business day. Thank you.

Bengo asked a question in Yola on December 03, 2008 21:37:
Text and HTML boxes that don't stay put?I recently reformatted many pages on LilNyet.com by doing a SAVE AS and then customizing the new pages with details. All the pages relying on the same SAVE AS code are affected by a problem where text and HTML boxes situated near the bottom of the body move to the top or trade places with higher boxes when the page is re-opened. Google Analytics code boxes are appearing on the top. What's causing this and how can I correct it? I am currently doing corrections and am back as far as about 115, so view lower numbers for examples and check higher numbers for corrections not sticking.
In the screen shot, not taken in the editor, you can see that trademark and navigation links have somehow relocated to the top of the page.
Thanks for the assist,
Bengo

It looks like you have desirable content, which people will find and want.
Not all my sites have taken off, but after ten months, our hottest site is drawing 1000 visitors/day. It seems like they begin to take off while you're not really aware of it and then you look at your data for the past month and you are moving. If your site is good, it will pick up momentum.
I'm glad your story turned positive and you shared it. I know there were early days when we were discouraged but over time amazing things can happen.
Though the site is written for webcomics, I see you feature anime, so you might find some tidbits of value at my resource site PsychedelicTreehouse.com.
Thanks again for sharing your success. If I had one observation, it might be to explain the site near the top of page one, to reduce clickaways who would have liked it if only they knew. I hope you don't mind me offering that tip. I welcome any thoughts on my sites, and learn a lot from what people report.
Best,
Bengo

My software engineer/cartoonist friend says a bit of bad php (or presumably other server language) could do this. Unfortunately, I don't speak php yet.
This is her comic for anyone who is bored of my posts. http://beesbuzz.biz/

WebKit browser also fails to load missing page section.
To isolate this, it would be helpful to know:
1. Are site editors married to individual accounts?
2. If so, can a particular one be checked for corrupt code? Can it be given a refresh?
3. If so, does editor code save along with page and site saves?
4. Can users view their editor code in isolation from page modifications and style selection?
5. Can unintentionally saving faulty HTML/javascript code introduce a bug into the stored site code?
6. Can I see a display of the code for the missing toolbar to confirm whether it is coming in on this end?
7. Could a corruption involving the header banner steer the browser wrong when loading the page?

Creating a new page and pasting in the entire HTML I saved earlier from a functioning page creates a simulation of a Synthasite blank page but without the toolbar that's been missing. It also generates advisories that HTML 13426 and 13439 are missing. Areas not generated prior to those notices fail to generate.

When a page is saved, does the editor code save with it, or does it remain separate? I am wondering if I have a dedicated editor, if it might have been corrupted. I notice the code on all my pages is aware of my other web sites. If the same owner's sites are clustered on the server, could they draw from a common editing facility, which if impaired, would affect them all?

ISP reports high skepticism that the problem is linked to them. They do not offer any filtering services, so it is unlikely something went wrong there. In general, the customer reps are limited by their training, background and enthusiasm, but I think I got a solid one who knew what he was talking about.

The item in common to all these is the connection. Testing at http://www.speedtest.net/ reveals my download is fast but my upload is slow -- 9000 vs 900 kb. Could it be I am failing to verify or report status in a timely manner to the server?
