Benjamin reported a problem in Clear Books on November 09, 2009 14:08:
Deleted quotes still visible to customersI just checked the page that the customer is linked to from the invoice or quote email. I realised that it listed numerous quotes which I had already deleted. How can I remove those properly, so they're not visible to the customer any more?

I can't find the option to write off an invoiceI remember that there used to be a way to mark an invoice as bad debt and write it off, but I can't figure out how to do it any more. Help please :-)

I am very happy with the iPhone app, it's nice and easy to use. I am generally also comfortable with the nano timer. I have to agree with Ron though that it's confusing that tasks continue to count for a previous day when you continue the day after. This means I keep creating new tasks in order to artificially separate between days.

Benjamin replied on September 12, 2009 14:14 to the problem "Invoice had 35% VAT when sent" in Clear Books:
That's probably exactly what happened. I realised that the VAT rate jumps to "Manual" as soon as I enter the VAT text field. The thing is: I often press "tab" to jump through the fields, which leads to me very often ending up having to manually set the VAT to "15%" again. It makes it easy to make mistakes, unfortunately. Would be nice to find a convenient solution to this...

Invoice had 35% VAT when sentJust a not that the other day, somehow an invoice that I sent out had a 35% VAT rate on it. I didn't double check, but the customer called me, and was a bit puzzled by it. I had to void it and make a new one. I surely didn't enter this number myself, so I'm wondering how it happened...

Add attachement to purchase invoiceIt would be incredibly useful if I could add the copy of the original receipt for purchases and expense claims to the system purchase invoice. We are a company with people working in different countries, so actually filing the paper receipts in one place is impossible. Having them all nicely attached in Clear Books would be so great!

I agree. A dashboard widget would be a lot easier, more accessible and probably prettier. As dashboard widgets are written in JavaScript, it should be reasonably easy to port the existing timer to Mac. I'm not sure about the HTML5 offline storage stuff, but maybe even that works, as Safari now supports that. So have a look at the Dashboard Widget Programming guide, you might find that easier to maintain than the current QT based widget!-

Benjamin asked a question in Clear Books on August 26, 2009 17:18:
Foreign currency exchange rate discrepanciesI have an invoice that was issued in euros. When the bank transfer came in, the exchange rate differs from what clearbooks calculated when the invoice was created. How to I reconcile the discrepancy between the expected amount in Sterling to the actual amount? Sorry if this has been asked before, but I couldn't find anything...
