Is there a way? Or can there be a way to publicly mark an address as someone's house or my house? So someone knows I'm at my house or elsewhere instead of just a random address?

I agree. You can always send "whereami" if you want to make sure the check in went through. No need for confirmation.

There's a trashcan icon next to each update in the timeline. That should delete the note.

I think it might be based on th distance from where you checked in last. Not sure, but I've noticed sometimes I need to confirm, sometimes I don't. I'll keep track and see if there's a pattern.
