Geoff, regarding the bug, FatWatch stores only the start date, goal weight, and the energy change per day; the other fields (such as goal date) are calculated using the first three.
All of the values should be saved together, but perhaps the energy change per day isn't sticking. If so, try changing that value and then changing it back to see if that helps make it stick. – Benjamin Ragheb, on August 18, 2008 22:00

I'm working on improving the graph right now. The next update should include numbers and the goal line. – Benjamin Ragheb, on August 18, 2008 21:53

I can think of two ways to draw a line on the chart: one would be to simply put a horizontal line across to indicate where your goal weight is in relation to your current weight.
The other idea is to draw a sloped line, starting from your selected start date, down to your goal weight to your target date, and then horizontal after that. So the line shows the path you should be on if you want to reach your goal.
Is either of those what you were thinking? – Benjamin Ragheb, on August 07, 2008 09:03

Seeing your Goal weight in other viewsFatWatch 1.1 introduces the Goal tab. Right now, it is fairly simple: you pick your start date and your goal weight, and FatWatch does the math to figure out how soon you can get there. If you change your goal weight or planned calories/day, FatWatch will show you what your new expected goal date is. If you change the goal date, FatWatch will tell you how big of a calories/day deficit you need to get there.
This is cool, but right now the Goal is an island: it doesn't show up in any other view. Do you have any ideas for how you would like to see your Goal appear in the Log, Trends, and Chart views?
