Hi Julie,
I'm sure we can help you, but I need a little more information. Are you talking about the general non-profit resource area on the FG main site:
http://www.firstgiving.com/statements...
or are you trying to access a link from a particular non-profit's start page, such as www.firstgiving.com/twv ?

BethP replied on January 27, 2009 17:32 to the question "reoccuring gifts" in Firstgiving:
Hi Todd,
Unfortunately Firstgiving does not have a recurring donation option set up at this point. However, it is a request that we've heard from our users and are discussing with our dev team. If this becomes an option in the future, we'll let everyone know by publicizing it on our blog www.onlinefundraisingblog.com.
BethP replied on January 23, 2009 17:27 to the problem "donations are being erased from my page" in Firstgiving:
The reason this happens is that the credit card used to make the donation was declined. Firstgiving has alerted the donor via a "Problem with Your Online Donation" e-mail.
The e-mail encouraged your donor to check with his/her credit card company to clear up any issue & then return to your fundraising page to re-donate.

BethP replied on January 22, 2009 16:29 to the question "Fundraising Page displays wrong event date." in Firstgiving:
Hey Mark,
Having the wrong date displayed won't affect your fundraising page donations, but you can email the support desk (support@firstgiving.com)--they'll fix the date for you.
Best wishes for your training and fundraising and kudos for taking part in such an amazing event!
BethP replied on January 09, 2009 14:46 to the question "where do the donations go?" in Firstgiving:
Hi Shanti,
Firstgiving sends the money you raise with your fundraising page directly to the Scleroderma Foundation (via check or electronic transfer). All you have to worry about is getting in touch with your family and friends and asking them to donate! All best wishes for meeting your fundraising goal.

What about fundraising for NPOs outside the US or UK?NPO fundraising on Firstgiving.com (US-based) and Justgiving.com (UK-based) are restricted to NPOs registered in these countries because we can only verify the authenticity of NPOs in these home markets. Firstgiving fundraisers can raise money for any NPO registered with Guidestar, a database of registered US 501c3 NPOs.
Many US and UK-based NPOs do important and effective overseas work, and many also partner with local NPOs overseas in order to help fund projects, operating expenses, etc. Fortunately, this can make it very possible to get the funding you are talking about!
For example, fundraisers have used Firstgiving to raise over $175,000 for Doctors Without Borders (http://www.firstgiving.com/npo/1185), an NPO registered in the US and investing in medical care in local communities worldwide.
Another example is World Vision’s partnership with Firstgiving fundraisers and local NPOs for such projects as clean water solutions, AIDS education, medical care, etc. See http://www.firstgiving.com/npo/5527.
If there is a specific project or initiative you are interested in fundraising for, consider partnering with a US-registered NPO that would be willing to earmark funds raised on Firstgiving for your project.
