No, a donation does not count as registration. A donation and a registration fee are two separate things.

If you only made a donation on Firstgiving’ site, you do not have an account. When you make a donation, you are not required to create an account. Firstgiving keeps a record of your donation in our back office, but there is no way to access an account for your donation.

Yes, we can accept donations from outside the US as long as a MasterCard, Visa, Discover, or American Express charge card is used. International debit cards aren't accepted.

Please note, all donations made to a fundraising page are in US dollars.

The credit card used to make the donation was declined. Firstgiving should have alerted you via a "Problem with Your Online Donation" e-mail.

The e-mail encouraged you to check with your credit card company to clear up any issue & then return to the fundraising page to re-donate.

I tried to make a donation to my friend's fundraising page, but my donation was rejected. What's going on?

There are two ways to edit your donation display name and/or comment:

Immediately after you submit your donation

On the screen "Thank you! Your donation is now complete," select option two – "Edit the name and message that appears with your donation."

1.) Enter your donation reference number* and the last four digits of your credit card and click Continue

2.) Edit the desired text box and click Continue to save changes

Or, once you receive the e-mail Confirmation of Donation Submission

1.) Visit: http://www.firstgiving.com/process/ed... this link can be found in your Confirmation of Donation Submission email

2.) Enter your donation reference number* and the last four digits of your credit card and click Continue

3.) Edit the desired text box and click Continue to save changes

*Your donation reference number is the letter D followed by six numbers and can be found on the screen Thank you! Your donation is now complete or in your Confirmation of Donation Submission email.

If you would like to edit your comment next to your donation, please send us what you would like it to say, your first and last name, and the donation amount or reference number and we would be happy to edit it for you.

If you prefer to make an offline donation, please contact the fundraiser first. They may prefer to have checks sent directly to them, so that they can track donations. Also, they might need to write certain information (e.g. their name or the event name) in the memo line.

Each donor chooses whether or not to share his/her e-mail address with you.

Donors who opted to share their e-mail address will list in your Firstgiving account area. Simply log in, select the 'Your Fundraising Pages' tab, & then click the 'GO' button next to the name of the page for which you want donor information.

Scroll down the next screen, until you see the 'View who donated' link.
