I'd like this functionality too - I'm part of a small dev group, who would like a single place for storing links to useful resources, code example etc.

1. What kind of bookmarks do you plan on sharing? Entertainment, research, work etc.

I guess this would be research, useful examples, reference libraries etc.

2. Who do you plan on sharing with? Friends, family, co-workers, student work group etc.

Co-workers.

3. Would you like to be notified of changes made by other members of the shared folder? If so, how?

I'm not sure I'd need to know when every new resource was added, but a "yammer" style monthly digest could be good - ie, "what's new this month..." and a list of links and their descriptions, together with who added?

4. Are you interested in the option to make a shared folder readable by the public? If so, then why?

Definitely, as I think libraries of useful links on specific topics, for example a specific language or database, could be very handy for other developers.
