After trying again this afternoon (19.6.08) all def.downloads are working again.

Big-al also tried this programe and it updated my definition to ver.823.
Going back to my original problem it will not load ver. 824 saying again that there was an error downloading the file.?????? – Alan, on June 18, 2008 23:34

When I try to update my definitions it starts to down load and then comes up "warning,there was an error downloading the file"
any sugestions
