Hi Tom,
Would it be possible to send us the CSV file you are using that is getting stuck? Even just the Zip Code column would be enough. We will try to replicate the problem here and see what we can find.
If possible, you can send the file to support@gooddata.com and we will research the issue and get back to you.
Sorry you are experiencing this!

Ray Light replied on September 16, 2009 17:09 to the idea "When reporting by a date dimension, allow the display of all dates, with zeros for dates with no data" in GoodData:
Hi Tom,
Thanks for the suggestion... Unfortunately, this is a little tricker than it may first appear. The reason is that when mapping to the date dimension, the dimension actually contains a set of all possible dates. Currently, dates in the system begin on Jan 1, 1900 and continue for several years into the future. Clearly, displaying all of these dates is not ideal, which then requires users to select date ranges for every report.
On the other hand, I definitely see your use case and have seen other similar cases where this would be handy. I've logged the feature as an enhancement request, and we'll definitely spend some cycles thinking of this issue.
Thanks!

Ray Light replied on September 14, 2009 09:09 to the question "How 'clean' does zipcode data need to be?" in GoodData:
When joining data sets, or in this case merging zip code data to the geography dimension, the data needs to be perfectly clean. That is, any value in the source data set must map to a value in the target data set. Bad fields will cause the whole process to fail, because the application doesn't know where to put the values that can't be mapped.
This is an unforgiving process that is dependent on clean data, but we hope to make this more forgiving in the future.

Ray Light posted an update in GoodData on September 08, 2009 16:25:
Joining Data Sets for Reporting Across SystemsI am pleased to announce that we upgraded a key feature in Good Data with today's update!
Now it's easier than ever to join multiple separate data sets and subsequently create rich reports from the consolidated data. This makes it simple to report across disparate systems and analyze the underlying data to discover trends and anomalies. Do you have your leads in your CRM system and customer registrations in another database? Do you have sales in one system and costs in another? Support tickets in a different system than sales renewals? Now you can connect these via a shared attribute, such as date, and perform analysis on the joined data.
We've prepared a short video that shows how to join data and create an enhanced data model. It's available on our website along with several other product videos here:

Check it out, and let us know what you think!

Hi Phil,
At the moment, officially supported browsers are Internet Explorer 7 and Firefox 3.0.
Currently, many application features will work in other browsers, but there are definitely problem areas and performance issues in the unsupported browsers.
We are working hard on this, and plan to include support for all the latest browsers in the near future.
Thanks for your patience,
Ray
