Ray Light replied on August 26, 2009 18:49 to the problem "The system cannot handle NULL values in Date-mapped attribute fields" in GoodData:
Hi Tom,
We are working on a fix to this problem for you. Adding the NULL values has been tested and works, the issue we are working on now is a migration tool to allow for all existing projects to be migrated to the new date hierarchy once it is deployed.
I will let you know as soon as I have more information on this, but I hope we will be able to have a fix for you soon!
Thanks for your patience,
Ray

Hi Tom,
Thanks for the feedback, as always! We definitely recognize this need, and this is a hot topic here for us at the moment. I will add your comments into the mix. I can't say for certain when a security feature like this will be implemented, but I will keep you updated on our progress.
Thanks!

Hi Tom,
I'm really sorry you are having this problem. I am trying to get to the bottom of this, but I still cannot replicate the problem here using Firefox 3.0 on Windows Vista.
Can we arrange a short phone call/screen share session so I can see this? If possible, I'd like to try to see the work flow on one our public projects (like FoodMart Demo) so I can try to replicate the issue here.
Please let me know if you're open to this.
Thanks,
Ray

Ray Light replied on August 19, 2009 16:58 to the problem "Trouble changing reports on Firefox 3.0 and 3.5 on Windows Vista" in GoodData:
Hi Tom,
Officially supported browsers are Firefox 3 (XP, Vista, Mac) and IE 7.
We have tried to replicate the problem here on our end, but were unable to re-create it. With Firefox 3 on Windows Vista, we were able to click the "Done" button.
Can you please describe the problem a little more, so we can try to reproduce the problem here?
Thanks, and sorry for the difficulties!

Ray Light replied on August 18, 2009 16:36 to the problem "Upload data wizard broken on Chromium on OS X" in GoodData:
Hi Tom,
Thanks for reporting this. At the moment, our officially supported browsers are Firefox 3 and Internet Explorer 7. We will be releasing an update on Thursday to support IE 8.
Our officially supported browsers go through extensive QA for each release. For other browsers, many features work, but others contain glitches like the one you describe.
I'll be sure to report here when new browsers are supported. (After IE8, we will begin working on Firefox 3.5.)
Thanks,
Ray

Ray Light replied on August 18, 2009 09:19 to the problem "Getting erroneous "This report has changed" notifications" in GoodData:
Hi Tom,
Sorry I mssed this post. There are a couple ways to trigger the "report not saved" message.
First is when the report definition has changed. I think this is clear and what you are expecting.
The second way to trigger this is if the report DATA has changed. Uploading new data is the way this happens. Saving the report allows you to take a snapshot of the existing report definition AND data. In other words, the actual report values have changed due to newer data. The message is meant to be a notification and a reminder to save if you want to save the current report values.
We know this is confusing, and we are working on a way to make this more understandable. This will be changing soon!
Thanks,
Ray

Ray Light asked a question in Get Satisfaction on August 18, 2009 08:41:
Is there a way to modify the front page?We are using Get Satisfaction for customer support, and the recent redesign is a bit confusing.
On our front page, the "highlights" tab is the default view, yet most of the "highlights" are over 1 year old. This doesn't reflect the recent issues that are being talked about. Is there any way to modify this to show real highlights?
