Scan issue again - "Custon"So after changing the power settings and reinstalling the software to fix the skipped scans, this morning VIPRE launches a custom scan that was not scheduled and advises that the next scan will be "Custon" and not Custom, or either of the scheduled scans that I have set up.
I like this product, but why is it developing these issues now? The updates seem to be hours behind, even though the computer has a constant connection and set to seek updates every hour. The update times are hours off from the actual time of download (when I have to update them manually, usually). I believe Sunbelt is on the east coast as I am, if not then that would solve the time issues, but the scan problems are my main concern.
I saw another thread on this topic and the support resolution proposed was the same that was given to me earlier - reinstall the software. Will I have to do this twice a month or more?
For the most part this software is better than the big box companies (Symantec, McAfee, etc.) for my uses and I want no part of their resource hogging products. But I also want my malware protection solution to function properly without me having to reinstall the whole system every two weeks.
Consider me frustrated.

Why do scheduled scans get skipped?Two weeks ago I asked about scheduled scans no operating and executing properly. The customer service rep. suggested that VIPRE be removed and reinstalled. I did this and the problem seemed to be resolved. Then today VIPRE skips the quick scan that was scheduled.
What's the next step? Shouldn't the scans that are scheduled execute properly?

Scheduled scans don't execute!?I have two scans set up to run, a quick scan 6 days a week and a deep scan one day a week. The deep scan keeps changing to a custom scan and then the quick scan doesn't execute properly?
The scheduled scans used to execute perfectly but since the major core update, have failed to execute like they are scheduled?
How can this issue be resolved?

Hi Tim. Thanks for the reply. Are there going to be any fixes or additions to the product to support email scanning if using these ports? Will VIPRE function with Thunderbird and SSL?I have seen problems reported about a fix for VIPRE and the secure ports (995 & 465) for outlook, but nothing for Thunderbird. I need to use these ports and if I set them up in VIPRE, it always blocks the connection to the server.
If you blank out the ports or leave them on the defaults, the email functions but I don't think VIPRE is scanning them. How can I be sure that VIPRE is protecting my emails?
