CADILLAC SERVICE - WHAT A JOKE!
I purchased a pre-owned, low mileage Cadillac SRX from Dew Cadillac in St. Petersburg, Florida. My previous three vehicles have been BMW's, and I normally drive my cars for over 100,000 miles. I am meticulous in keeping my service up to date and in overall care of the vehicle. When it was time to purchase a newer vehicle, I decided to give Cadillac a try because my parents have owned them in the past and were happy with the vehicles. This was a BIG mistake to purchase a Cadillac. I have taken my car into Dew Cadillac for service several times and have repeatedly complained about a rattle in the right front passenger door. To date, Dew has been unable to fix the problem and frankly, they act as though they are tired of my complaining about it. I can understand why GM is going into bankruptcy now. QUALITY is NOT a mantra with GM and yet you pay a good price for a Cadillac. Dew Cadillac for their part is more concerned about their 'state of the art' service center featuring wireless connection, fresh brewed coffee, fresh pastries, morning newspapers, and all the extraneous junk that doesn't make for good service on a vehicle. I'm forever receiving mailed notices from Dew extolling their facility and how I should "visit" their service center. Hey, one visits relatives or a vacation spot, NOT a car repair shop. You take a car into a repair shop to get it fixed, NOT to drink fresh coffee and eat pastries. Come one, a good quality built vehicle, backed up by reliable and courteous service is more important than a $2.00 cup of coffee! Cadillac, good luck if you survive the bankruptcy of GM - you'll need to do much more in customer service to make it. Dew Cadillac, you need to emphasize the repair and solving of a customer's problem(s), NOT the make of coffee or the comforts of the service center. I'm not taking my car to a spa! Based on this very, very unpleasant experience, I will NEVER OWN ANOTHER CADILLAC. It's back to a foreign vehicle - at least their reliability is established and their level of service matches the vehicle quality. Not to be said about Cadillac or Dew Cadillac in St. Petersburg, Florida.

    Verizon's Customer Abuse Service
Verizon began installing FIOS cable in my neighborhood several months ago. While doing so, the crew damaged the landscaping in front of my home. I have tried contacting the supposedly 'Customer Care' center but so far have not had any response from anyone. No one there believes that the problem is compelling, and I was even told by one representative to "pay for the damages myself because Verizon was improving my telephone service"! Imagine that, they damage your property and you're supposed to be happy because they did it in the quest for improved service. Well I for one think that Verizon's service is poor and they DO NOT have a customer service oriented staff. After years of increasing phone rates in Florida, it's time Verizon began to realize that they do have certain responsibilities to the customer.
