No, it's a public feature now. Check support.newrelic.com for information on the feature. The likely cause of the error is that you don't have API access turned on in your account preferences. Login and go to the account page to check it.

Because of a limitation in the way controller actions are detected, when there is a template but no corresponding action method, this will show up as Controller/(other). We hope to correct this in a future release of the agent.

Okay I see the problem now. It only happens using script/server thin. When I start by just invoking 'thin start' it seems to work fine.

Are you seeing any newrelic_agent log files in the logs directory? If so, can you please send me the output?

I believe I fixed this problem in 2.8.5 of the agent. What version are you using? If you still get that error with 2.8.5 or later, can you send me the stack trace at support@newrelic.com?

Olly and everyone else, we believe we have fixed the problem. The fix is available in beta right now. Please try it out. With ssl on you should no longer see mongrels disappearing.
