It's great to see your already issuing updates to Photosynth. Now I see it's gone to version 2.0.1403.14. And great to hear "The team is already hard at work on the next update! "
Any chance you could throw in some more camera support in the next update?

Ok, figgured out Wireshark, Python, and Processing. Not so tricky. Thou, I haven't found many points yet. Any ideas for getting all the points from a whole synth? – BirdDog, on August 30, 2008 19:50

It is odd as my symths seem fine but the globe control to geotag to Virtual Earth, just doesent function for 6 of my 7 synths. Screen dump: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3060/2...
Photosynth logo on the left, but no "save / cancel option". There arn't many controls on the photosynth page, so I'd have kind have expected it to work....

Just managed 500 images x 10 MP on a P4 2.6 Ghz with 1 GB RAM. Had previously run out of memory trying for 1300 images. Mind you, the 500 took about 7 hours I think. http://photosynth.net/view.aspx?cid=4...

Do we have to use one of the "Creative Commons" in particular?
There just doesent (usualy) appear any Photosynth choice in Virtual Earth. – BirdDog, on August 27, 2008 18:10

BirdDog asked a question in Microsoft Live Labs on August 26, 2008 17:14:
Why do so many new programs need so much memmory? In the good ol' days, we could run a batch command, that did one thing at a time, and never crashed due to lack of memmory. In the last few years this all seems to have changed, many programms just give up if they run out of RAM. What happened to the simplicity of a batch command that just kept on going? Sorry to bring this up here, but photosynth is one of many programs that suffers from this.
