Podcast Support for SongbirdHere's two ways you can manage your favorite podcasts with Songbird 1.0.0:
1) You can register to your podcasts using File > New Subscription. When prompted for the URL, enter the Podcast's RSS feed URL, most of the time this URL is available on the Podcast's home page. For instance, if you wish to subscribe to TWiT, the URL would be: http://leoville.tv/podcasts/twit.xml
2) There is another way, a bit more obscure, to access podcasts that would not work with the above procedure. Songbird supports bookmarking, just like a regular browser does. You can then bookmark a podcast RSS page and when you access it, Songbird will show the content of the RSS file and magically list all the podcast episodes it finds in this feed.
Here's how to do this: Go to File > New Tab. Click the tab and in the top address bar, type in the podcast RSS feed URL and hit Enter. If the feed is valid, you should now see the XML content and right below a list of all podcast episodes. Within the XML content, right-click and choose Bookmark this page. Go back to the main Songbird tab and under Bookmarks look for the new entry it just created. I suggest you rename it to something more friendlier; right-click and select Rename. Access your podcast from this bookmark by choosing the episode you wish to listen, right-click and select either Play or Download.

Songbird's podcast engine is not yet very advanced. You can register to your podcasts using File > New Subscription. When prompted for the URL, enter the Podcast's RSS feed. For instance, if you'd want to subscribe to TWiT, the URL would be: http://leoville.tv/podcasts/twit.xml
However, for some reasons, some RSS Feed simply do not work. I have tried subscribing to Buzz Out Loud and No Agenda, and even though I entered the correct RSS feed URL, it didn't work.
I am sure an upcoming version would provide better podcasting features.
