Ohh yeah, it would be nice, sure the Zen does the trick but to make the Bird do the same, it would be really smooth, because then we could shuffle more than just whole albums, imagine shuffling albums in user defined year intervals, or shuffle albums from only one artist or whatever meta data shuffle combination you could think of.

But the most important for now is a little button that finds one random album from the whole collection.

Uhh yeah that could be nice man, just like the album of the day feature on a Zen.

But i like the idea better that Justin Rennell suggested in the bug 11105, that it should not only be restricted to random album but that you could choose what you want random, like year, artist, album, and maybe year and album combined so that you can set to shuffle only for albums in the range of 1968 to 1972 or what ever you prefer, like a time machine man =0)

Hey... I have that problem to once in a while, but it helps is you go into preferences and then uncheck and check the checkbox under media-import after having had an unsuccesfil import. – BJEagle, on June 24, 2009 18:09

Resize the window of "Album Covers"

When you click on the album art down left in Songbird a window pops up with the title "Album Covers" and then a larger version of the album art appears, but... Is'nt it a bit too small? i mean it could be neat if we where able to resize it to the size we want, personly i would like it to fill up the whole screen =0)

I switched from winamp myself and i would say that Songbird really does it for me. Yes there are a few features i miss from winamp but as times go more and more of those features are coming here as well. And this is only version 1.1 i cant imagine how cool it will get when we reach 2.0. Keep up the good work community programmers and to the core team, give them bugs some lightning =0)

Airfoil is a solution, but an integrated feature would be the shizzle, because it would make Songbird the no. 1 player for many and the Linux dudes would appriciate it since Airfoil don't work on Linux (yet).

I think it is an important feature, and respect for the old school album listeners, i'm on that wagon myself, an album is like a painting, you cannot just look at a little part of the picture you have to see the whole thing=0), ahh well i also listen to random songs so who am i kidding. But anyway, this feature would be really top nudge.

A click on a button and a random album would be enqueued in moshy's now playing list.

It would be like the "Album of the Day" feature on the Creative Zen, and with that feature in Songbird, well yeah that could just be a blast.

Watched folder really rocks, it is a much more useful and innovative way of adding songs to the library compared to both Winamp and iTunes.

I am running Mac OS X 10.5.7. When i have the watched folder in my home directory, for instance in the standard folder music, songbird detects changes in the folder just fine.
If the watched folder is on the hard drive connected to my Airport Extreme, songbird detects changes in that folder just fine, BUT if the folder is on an external USB drive connected to an USB port on the mac itself there is no reaction when new songs are added to the "watched folder". Wierd...

So the problem is just that on mac the watched folder do not work proberly on an external USB drive connected directly to the computer.
