Thanks for this suggestion. We provide contact information straight from the editors, so this will vary from publication to publication. Some magazines provide a dozen points of contact, while others prefer all pitches directed to one editor.

I understand your frustration; we're working with Good Housekeeping to update the How to Pitch information currently on the site. The scoop is, GH is primarily looking for first-person narratives or as-told-to features about someone who's overcome an obstacle in life. While the section names may have changed, the magazine still seeks this type of story from freelancers.
