Joshua Porter started following the idea "Full size screen shots without exporting the full size video" in Clearleft.
Joshua Porter shared an idea in Clearleft on October 01, 2008 17:24:
Feature Idea: Export snippets of videoAllow for some very simple timeline selection before exporting so we can export only a snippet of a test instead of the whole thing. This would require the ability to view the composition before exporting (which is mentioned as an issue elsewhere on GS).
The benefit would be that you take up much less hard drive space, and you can easily grab the minute or two that you want and export quickly. Right now export times are prohibitive.
On several occasions I've decided against exporting videos for a project b/c of the sheer amount of time of exporting. Thinking about the issue a bit more made me realize that I only needed to share a few moments from the test with my team members...the critical interaction points of the test. A super simple timeline and export snippet feature would help fix that, I think.-

Joshua Porter replied on September 22, 2008 20:26 to the question "how does permissions-based access work?" in chi.mp:
Hi Liz, you're exactly right...right now the permissions aren't clear at all. The way they're supposed to work is by allowing you to tags to match what information is available to what people. So, if you tag a service "friends", only those people tagged "friends" will be able to see it. This is a two-step process, and not that easy to understand. We're working on the next version of this, and hope to clear it up so that its immediately understandable.

Thanks for your feedback, trouble (and nice meeting you the other day!). We initially made this a "wait and see" decision as we wanted to see how much data people had coming into their dashboard...and how that scaled. This is definitely something we'll keep a close eye on and will limit it at some point.
And we're working on the twitter issue...I'll get back to you on that.
