P.S. If you remember I reported the same problem with images a little while ago. You would overwrite an image with one of the same name and it would still display (use) the old one. This is the same now with files. http://forum.yola.com/yola/topics/fil... – Boomer, on December 12, 2009 19:37

Here's what happens.
1. You tweak the .js file in notepad.
2. Upload the new file to your file manager.
3. It asks you if you want to overwrite the old file.
4. You select "yes" and it ovewrites the old one.
5. If you view the retweaked file in the file manager it confirms the changes.
Here's the problem though:
The webpage accessing the retweaked file still sees the old untweaked version.

Yep I've done all the normal stuff ;-) Cleared cache, updated, waited 30 min ...
What I've done is moved them to new directories and updated the links that point to them. I'm testing from a test page at the moment before I make the changes site wide. I can still continue... so no rush. Tell them to enjoy their Saturday and the beers. – Boomer, on December 12, 2009 14:36

Hosted .js files do not delete or updateThis is quite a serious one in my book.
You cannot edit a .js file to make site wide changes because the old one is still active.
If you delete the file, the icon disappears from the file manager but the actual file is not deleted.
I have not tried the CSS files yet, but I suspect the same thing to happen.

If you are talking about the Snap Shot tool, then no - This is controlled from their side. If you are talking about the frame border, then yes - Just set border =0 – Boomer, on December 12, 2009 12:31
Boomer replied on December 12, 2009 12:24 to the question "How to display data on a single page" in Yola:
I don't know of a script to achieve this Randy.
I'm not even sure if iframes are the route to go after all. Maybe one of the Yola techies could suggest a better alternative. There are many ways to skin a cat ;-)
Another way of doing your drop down could be with a fly out menu.
Have a look at some here: http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicin...
That script Cristo posted on one of the other threads may be a good way too.

If you want to put 2008 and 2009 in one frame you will have to use tables.
It's quite easy as well. Look here: http://www.w3schools.com/html/html_ta... – Boomer, on December 12, 2009 09:18

1. You may have missed the link I posted above. It looks like it may be possible.
I've never tried it though: http://www.richardfarrar.com/embeddin...
2. No
3. You can adjust the size of the frames but they both need to be the same size on both sites. This is done in the first line of code where it says "width" and "height".
Play around with different sizes and link placements. Remember the snap shot gets cropped if the links are to close to the edges.
4. You can create as many pages on the test site (hosting site) as you want.
Each option value must reflect those (hosted) pages that you want to display.
The option values are the ones that are displayed in orange in the site builder.
Each option value has a URL of the link you want to display and a text portion that will appear in the drop down. Hope that all makes sense.

I have got to go Randy. I am going to leave you to play with it until tomorrow.
On the new site you can edit anything between the top and bottom DIV tags.
Use the "Save page as" and create new pages this way.
On your main site all you have to add is a new "<option value=" every time with the new page URL you created on the other (new site).
I'll go through more customization options with you tomorrow.

Its the part of the code that starts with var iframecode and ends with <\/iframe>'
This all needs to be on one line. – Boomer, on December 11, 2009 00:37

Anyway I found the problem....
The iframe part of the code needs to be on one line. Be careful not to delete anything while you are doing this. Hit enter first before starting to delete.
Hope that makes sense. – Boomer, on December 11, 2009 00:17

By viewing the page source. It does not always tell you though. Depends on the template. – Boomer, on December 11, 2009 00:14
