Your profile is got somehow corrupted.
What platform and Songbird version are you running on?
Did you upgrade the older Songbird version?
You would recommend to create a new profile.
On Windows you can go to Start->Programs->Songbird->Songbird(Profile Manager).
On Mac or Linux run ./songbird -p in a terminal.
Create a new profile and launch Songbird with it.
It will not preserve your custom playlists or add-ons you installed besides default ones. Also, you will need to re-import your library.
Boris replied on January 08, 2009 22:10 to the question "using my iPod with songboid!~" in Songbird:
You can add files to your iPod by mounting device (connect with USB cable and wait for the device icon to show up in songbird) and syncing with your library.
But you can not transfer files from iPod to hard drive.
When you see tracks from your iPod in Songbird, it doesn't mean they got move to your drive, they still on your iPod, you can just play them in Songbird from the original location.

Boris replied on January 08, 2009 06:44 to the problem "Songbird playing wrong song upon same song title" in Songbird:
I can't reproduce this running the latest 1.10pre build on Windows XP.
While playing the song I switch to another playlist which has the song with the same title.
It still starts the first track on a list.
Do you still experience this problem?

I'm reproducing this too.
Looks like add-on problem.
I've posted the comment on add-on summary page:

The add-on is created by external developer.
Post your comments directly to add-on summary page:

So, the add-on's author could respond and fix the problem.
Sorry for the delay in our respond.

This functionality is not implemented, but it's actually possible to do.
Someone has to add the piece of code to make it work (in form of add-on probably).
You can file a feature suggestion for this in our bug tracking system:

Boris replied on January 07, 2009 22:59 to the idea "Allow for language selection on install, don't automatically select the system default" in Songbird:
Good news!
The work on adding language detection into first run dialog is already on our plate for the next release planned for February, 2009.
To track the comments on this work item:
1. Go to the "people" box in the upper right hand corner of Bug #14421;
2. Add your email in the "add cc" box;
3. Scroll down and hit commit.

Boris replied on January 06, 2009 22:21 to the question "Songbird and WMP just clocks....MP3's will not play!" in Songbird:
It is hard to say, but it sounds like some of the running processes was holding the sound device, so you couldn't get a sound with any media player.
That's kind of interesting because usually there is no problem to share a sound card between several processes in Windows.
That would be good, if you could nail it down (to do that you should shut the processes one by one and try to play music after each one).
Or your sound device driver was not working properly.
To see that you should open Control Panel->System->Device Manager and check under Sound, Video and Game Controllers.
Without knowing what exactly was running on your machine, it's hard to define.

Boris replied on January 06, 2009 01:10 to the question "Songbird crashes after add-on install. How to remove add-ons?" in Songbird:
We don't provide deb packages ourselves, so we don't know how they're packaged.
I know some people use deb packages downloaded from getdeb.net.
Usually, we won't look deep into any problems unless it's a .tar file from
http://getsongbird.com/ or
http://wiki.songbirdnest.com/Develope...
But, this is a good info for other users to know.
Thanks.
