Brady replied on November 11, 2009 23:34 to the question "Bebo App errors" in Widgetbox:
Hi maryjac -
We see that you've also been able to walk through the process successfully for your "Mary Jac (AngelCardReader) on Twitter" widget, as seen here:
http://www.widgetbox.com/dash/dev/beb...
which helps us in pointing out that the process is still working. We're still unsure as to how you were able to get in the state you have regarding your other widget. For now, we've re-set the Bebo App for your "Angel Card of the Day" widget and you can walk through the process again here:
http://www.widgetbox.com/dash/bebowiz...
and in that process, please create a NEW Bebo App in the frame displayed on the lower half of the screen rather than re-using the one you may have created earlier. Integrations with 3rd party systems are always tricky and we here at Widgetbox work to maintain that users are able to share their widgets on other platforms as easily as possible.
Sorry for the inconvenience,

Brady replied on May 01, 2009 06:21 to the question "How can I remove the ! widgetbox advertisement" in Widgetbox:
Hi there!
The Blidget you had created can have that "i" symbol removed by you when you go in to the Blidget Editor (Click MY WIDGETBOX followed by "Alaska News", and then "Edit"). Once you have the editor open, make your widget a PRO widget by clicking the word "PRO" in the upper right hand corner.
Now that your widget itself is PRO, scroll to the bottom and UN-CHECK the "Include Info Button" option.
That should solve your problem!
Brady replied on April 24, 2009 21:16 to the question "How would i make it so that my widget can start a file?" in Widgetbox:
Hi again -
I'm sorry but we do not allow widgets to help the user download anything to their system. This is a security precaution to prevent the spread of malware from Widgetbox widgets. Also, I'm also sorry to report that unless your games were all Flash-based, it is currently impossible with the technology today to have them appear in a widget. Widgets are combinations of HTML, JavaScript, or Flash content that act like miniature websites that our users share.

Brady replied on April 24, 2009 21:12 to the question "YouTube Sidebar Widget Blocked Lightbox View" in Widgetbox:
Hi there -
Perhaps I don't have as much familiarity with that widget in particular, but after using it I didn't see how it would extend beyond the reach of your sidebar unless I clicked the "Fullscreen" option provided by YouTube. I was also able to still use your photo gallery, so I didn't notice any sort of conflict. What browser are you using? Its possible your page may be rendered slightly different than what I'm seeing in Mozilla Firefox 3.

Brady replied on April 24, 2009 21:09 to the question "How would i make it so that my widget can start a file?" in Widgetbox:
Hi Dave -
What do you mean by start a file? Widgetbox prevents certain security-related actions from occurring when a widget is created and if a user circumvents these could lead to their dismissal. You may need to research learning JavaScript or Flash to better suit the purposes of the widget you are trying to create.
hope this helps,

Hi there -
You can contact the developer from their developer page here: http://www.widgetbox.com/developer/04... to express your concerns, and if you still want to change to a different widget you can either browse our extensive gallery for other RSS scrolling widgets, or use Widgetbox's own Blidget creator to make a cool widget out of our blog!
You can learn more about the Blidget here: http://www.widgetbox.com/info/product...
hope this helps,

Brady replied on March 30, 2009 17:34 to the question "Was my Widget set up by another party as a Homepage Hijack or was my affiliate link Hijacked?" in Widgetbox:
Hey Val,
"about:blank" is actually special command you can enter in your browser's address bar (without quotes) and an empty webpage is brought up. This feature in modern-day browsers isn't really necessary, but some people prefer their start page to be empty.
Our metrics system works to figure out where the widget was loaded - if you "bundle" it on Clearspring.com you will see in your widget statistics that the widget was viewed on that domain. As for why we tracked "about:blank", we do not support our widgets being integrated with other widget companies such as Clearspring, so its quite possible our metrics system was given invalid domain information.
Hope this helps!
Brady replied on February 19, 2009 07:21 to the question "tabs not working" in Widgetbox:
Hey!
It looks like you're trying to view the widget on our Gallery Preview page with a blidget that hasn't been purchased yet. In the Blidget Editor on your right, you can see what the blidget *could* be once it has been purchased, causing the test page to reflect your creation. The preview you see is what other people today would see if they were to grab your blidget - for them to also see the pro features, you need to upgrade first.
If any of this seems confusing, please let me know!
